Artstream; we made the trip from El Centro, CA to Slab City. I thought Burning Man was a rough environment. Slab City takes the prize. It appears that when someone finished a project they just got up and walked away form it, junk, some old tools etc just laying around. We did drive through "LOW" but did not see anyone outside at the time. Actually some areas it appeared that folks just arrived with clean rigs and lack of junk about their site.
Dorothy and I found a neat bar in Niland, CA. We sat there and chatted with the owner and taste tested some of his hot foods. In all, a very fun day.

Glad you stopped by, sorry I missed ya both. I know the Bar you refer to, and have had dinner there a number of times.
In a few days I will be announcing a January Airforums Slab City Rally Hope you can schedule a visit!

If the slab got the rain we did in Q-town, well, we had waterfront property for about 6-8 hours, but the dust settled nicely, and the ambient temp was in the low to mid-sixties...gotta go out and make a new flat-rock sculpt, as the last one is under 5" of mud...it may not be art to anyone but me, but I'm the only one who's counting the value...Mr Michael, your windchime rings supreme.

Hey all.
All's well on the Slabs. I had 6" standing water surrounding the trailer for a day. All that's left is green mold. Temps in the low 70's.
