Looking forward to Christmas in Blanco!

We look forward to this annual event! Our reservations are in and can't wait to see everyone.

Sapphire will be there too, she wants to tell Laura how bad a dogs life is!

Harvey and Gail,

Welcome to the forums and glad you'll be attending the 6th Annual Christmas Rally at Blanco State Park. We usually start the weekend off with a tour of "Real Ale Brewing Company" with a Dutch-treat dinner at a local resteraunt Friday night, Saturday morning a parade goes through town square and then shop the a market/flea around the old Courthouse. Saturday night will be potluck buffet and White-Elephant wrapped gift (no names) exchange follows, its alot of fun.

See you there, John Baker

Hmmmm

Depending on departmental meetings at the end of the semester I may be driving right down Hwy 281 on my way to Padre Island. Are transients welcome to pop in?

Rodney,
Visitors are ALWAYS welcome! If you are just passing through, without your AS, stop by anyway. The Blanco event is always a good one.

Reservations made

I've made my reservations now. Hope I don't repeat last year and have paid reservations only not to make it at the last minute...

If all works well, this rally will be a stop on my way to San Jose CA....

Sounds great, I am spending Christmas and NYE on the beach and it possible I will be passing through there at the right time, but it is to early to commit to attending.

The online registration says sites still available

Sites are still available according to the online registration.

The great weather SE texas is currently enjoying may well be identical to the weather of the rally weekend of December 12.

The "artist" fair centered around the old courthouse that weekend is an ideal place to pick up some original presents for those "hard to buy for" friends and relatives.

Would like to come if ya'll don't mind

Hello to all of you Blanco Rally folks. We have made a reservation for the weekend of Dec. 12th and plan on attending as long as family Holiday stuff doesn't get in the way! As it happened, we evacuated our home and pulled the AS to Blanco when Ike made his unwelcome appearance ! At that time we stayed at the Blanco Settlement which is just a couple of miles out from downtown Blanco. We are thinking it would be fun to go back under better circumstances! Hope to see you there,

Johnny & Connie

Blanco is a really small park - the ranger at the check instation will know where some other AS's will be parked.

Usually, if they are not too bust, they will let you drive or walk in and pick out your spot from those available.

But...did I mention that this is a really small park??

It's less than a three minute walk from the west side to the east side....we all usually meet some where in the middle.

Think Pink

Hi guys,

Have forgotten to post out attendance. Mike and I will be attending as well as The Goodwin's from Dallas. Looking forward to the rally, we always have such fun. I have my gifts wrapped and ready "Think Pink" who would have ever guessed that certain types of pink bird stuff would be so readily available....... Look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. Lora

Unhappy Oh no!

Due to a schedule conflict, it is with great sadness that Charles and I will not be able to attend the 6th annual Christmas rally at Blanco. Sapphire was looking forward to tell Laura that she has not had food since last year!

We will be thinking about all you, the fun, events we will miss will. I look forward to seeing pictures.

Sorry to hear that John and Charles won't be able to make it this year. I have my reservation and plan to see you all this year. I will eat your share of the nanner puddin John. I enjoyed last year so very much. I will probably bring my daughter and my friend this time. We all went to the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque in Oct. They had so much fun that I may never be able to go alone again. I already have my gift ready. and yes, THINK PINK. See ya in Dec.

We'll be there!

We've been looking forward to the Blanco rally for a long time. Is the Real Ale brewery tour on for Friday? Jim, are you out there? We missed the tour last year; hope we can get there early Friday.

We just made reservations. This will be our first rally to attend with the Airstream in tow. We drove down to the Lake Conroe event but work schedules kept us from being able to camp. We are so much looking forward to it.
Thanks
Andy Oliver
