It was very nice to see all the 'Streams at Silver Falls today. I didn't get the handles but all were very friendly. A very odd group camping area by California standards. Room for tents AND RV's plus grass!
We hiked around a bit after stopping by and are nursing newly discovered muscle groups.
I am sure you all had fun up there!

I just got home. We left after dinner this evening because Chester the Dalmatian was sick (he had a change in food because we ran out of his regular food and had to substitute, or he ate something he found there, or the excitement of playing with kids and dogs all day was too much for him) and I wasn't going to let him back in the trailer if there was a chance of him throwing up in it! So we decided to go home early instead.
Anyway, it was a fantastic rally - Thanks, Darol, for throwing it together. We met so many nice folks, and visited with old friends. I wish we hadn't had the dogs or we would have headed over to international - everyone who did raved about how wonderful the vintage area was. It was perfect weather, lots of visiting, great food, just a perfect weekend!

How's Chester? We are always concerned about our "girls" when we are out camping. We bring extra food, but they don't always eat it all. You never know what they are going to get into. Last year Gracie tried to eat a live crayfish, or maybe she just wanted to play with it.

He's feeling all better this morning
What happened was we ran out of his regular food (a perscription diet) and didn't realize it until we were leaving on Saturday. We tried to get more on the way out of town but the vet was out of it, and the other vets were already closed, so we finally just grabbed some high quality lamb & rice food for him, hoping that would be close enough, but I think that's what upset his stomach.
He LOVED being dragged around by Great Pumpkin's kids all weekend (though he might have gobbled something up somewhere around the campground - you know how dogs are) Either way, he's all better today.

A great rally!
We just got home. It was a great rally, so good in fact we decided to stay an extra day at the reagular camp ground along with NorcalBambi, Cjohnson and 2Air.
Here are a couple of pictures from our visit to the Vintage Open House and the group camp at Silver Falls. I have some more good pictures that I hope to post to my online gallery once I go through them.
Thanks again Darol for setting up the rally. We enjoyed meeting everyone who camped and the visitors from Internatonal.

What a pleasure meeting all who attended (or just visited) the Silver Falls Rally. This was our third outing in the AS, and our first Rally. It will definitely not be our last. It was great just kicking back and enjoying the people, food, and of course the airstreams! No agenda, no plans, just fun. Thank you Darol for setting it up.
We continued on after the rally, making a 1689 mile journey before making it home – visit my thread for “the rest of the story”. Don (NorCal) I didn't lose my door like you, but did end up with some road rash.

Just curious....
Did many of you pass through Eureka on your way to OR?? I saw so many Airstreams in town and wondered if some may be forum members?

None from this rally, but I'm sure the ones you saw were probably on their way to the International Rally in Salem.

We went through Eureka on 7/5 southbound. We stopped at the "Safeway on the hill" for some groceries before Humboldt Redwoods.
