We're Here!!
We're here at 29 Palms. High clouds with a little blue sky. Not cold yet. They're telling us that there may be snow, yes snow, tonight. They say it's our fault, because they "never have snow". Anyway, it is supposed to warm up by Friday and be nice for the weekend. No deer or wild turkeys here, but all the place needs is about 20 spots filled with aluminum. The golf is walking distance and no problem getting on. About 6200 yards for you golf types. The WiFi is iffy. I had to drive down to the registration office to get a connection. Deb says to tell you to bring booties for the dogs if you have them. Our guys got a couple of foxtails or something. I'll hang around here for a little while in case there are any questions. Oh. The first thing I was asked about at check-in was when the Margies are being poured. I gave the usual answer: "Whenever you want one". We have friends here already. You're a great front man Milo. Ron

Glad that you made it safe and sound. The snow should take care of the foxtails. They can be a serious problem with the dogs, I will have to keep my eyes open when I take them out...

If you have a party in an apartment building. How do you keep the nieghbors from calling the cops? Why invite them of course.
How do you keep 20 Streamers with three Margarita balls from getting kicked out of the Park? Why you invite the Manager over for a Margarita of course.

Update
Well the WiFi isn't iffy, it's non-existent at our sites. I'm back at the office. It's dark and doesn't feel at all like snow. It's really very comfortable. The streets where you have to turn to get here, Adobe and Amboy are both streets with signals and big signs, easy to spot. Sunset was beautiful. I didn't get very good shots, cuz the best ones had SOBs in the way.

and milo, we all thought you were just another pretty face. who knew?
ron, most excellent report and pics. our scout, w/scout car, digital camera and laptop w/ iffy wifi to communicate to the group. HOT.
as your overly officious greeter, welcome. i will be employing the euro method of greeting. think french. i don't speak it, but i kiss that way...
and NO one may get near the margi balls w/o first demonstrating the nor cal airstream secret handshake... my directive comes from wally himself... he speaks to me often.

We didn't know about signing up for spaces. After checking the chart and reading the latest posts, it looks like we will take #81, snow or no snow.
