Pull Through..

As much as we enjoy demonstrating our backing-up skills in the dark, I'll happily take Pull Through Space 88, which I should be able to remember for 7 days... Have the GPS programmed to get us to the park, so we should be good to go barring any exciting weather crossing the mountains from Bakersfield... Also good through Monday morning departure.. Bringing camera, firepit (maybe.. if it fits into Excursion), spare tire plus books and food stuff... Probably iPOD mini-speaker set. Oh yeah, and Margarita Ball... Thinking of Hot Mulled Margarita's at this point, given weather forecast....

Yup...

Behind the generator under the bikes and beside the toolbox and the firewood bundle we bought for San Antonio will be a pair of tables, and a folding chair...

Checklist for getting on the road is becoming a bigger and bigger deal...

Just made reservations on-line at the Bakersfield KOA in Shafter for Thursday night. For us that will just about split the distance between San Rafael and 29 Palms. Anyone else stopping in that area?

Hi Mike,
We stayed at that one before ..kind of in the middle of nowhere..about 7-8 miles north of Bakersfield..

This time, on Thursday, we're staying at the Bakersfield Palms RV Resort east of Bakersfield on hwy 58, maybe we can meet for dinner?

We're thinking about staying in Bakersfield Thursday night too. Probably at the Bakersfield Palms. Not sure yet. It depends on work.

We can play it by ear. It sounds good if we go Thursday and don't get there too late.

Paula,

Bakersfield Palms looks like a way better place. You would know. So, I'll change reservations tomorrow.

Thanks.
