An Open House is always fun...how about Saturday the 21st, say 1-3pm followed by a happy hour & potluck? Bring your own meat to grill & "something" to share...
We'll have to see about the home brew, it doesn't look like paulk is going to be able to make it to the rally...bummer! We can bring some Fat Tire though in honor of New Belgium Brewery's Airstream

Yeah, got to have an open house!
It seems that most will be present on Saturday, June 21. How about planning for an open house on Saturday early afternoon, followed by a pot luck in the evening in site 34. Unless it gets all booked up and we have to auction of #34 to the highest bidder.
Make your reservations today, this could turn into the biggest Airstreamforums Rally to date!

Hi guys even if I am not able to make the rally I will get a 12 pack to either Shari or Forrest as long as you all promise to have a toast on me. I have met Frrest and know where he lives. I am not sure if he is attending or not. if not,I will get it to Shari. I still might be able to make at the last minute.

Peter ~
Looks like you & I had the same idea the same moment...must have been a good one!
Paul, we'd love to have you there to make your own toast...but if that doesn't work out, let me know, I'll be happy to bring your homebrew for all to sample
So far, it doesn't look like Forrest is planning on attending....if so, he's just not "gone public" yet

Rocky Mountain Rally
My worst fears have come through! The hospital project that was to have installed 1st of June has now moved to the 18th thru the 22nd of June. The hospital opens for business on the 23rd. Unless some other.....no it won't happen. We have a spot if someone needs it. The best e-mail address to reach me is at work, as I rarely get on line at the house. Work is chwhite@artnasco.com. With the likes of Peter H, Sue Z. and Mike, and Dennis from Houston, things should rock!
Somebody take pictures.

I'd love to join you Peter...but have you seen our travel schedule? I don't think this workin' gal can fit anything else in!

update
Hi All-
Well the lake is really starting to fill-up nicely from the San Juan mountain snow melt. They're caughting Lake trout in the deeper waters and Rainbow's from the banks. Once the Rio Chama River slows down, around the time you all arrive, the brown's and rainbow's are suppose to be excellent in here. Next door at Lake El Vado they're catching brown's on the Rio Chama just south of the dam near an RV park called Copper's.
I put a bird feeded outside my trailer and have seen Flycatcher's, Steller Jay's, Loggerhead Shrike, Black-Billed Magpie, Crows, Cickadee's, Mountain Bluebirds, Wren's and Warbler's. There's a couple of different types of Hummingbirds too. The Osprey are currently nesting and it's awesome to see them fly over with a fish in their claws.
I hear coyotes almost every night and there's plenty of deer to see grazing through out the park. The sunsets have been awesome and all of the campers that I've talked with have really loved and enjoyed their time here.
Looking forward to meeting you all- Peace Always- John
p.s. I've also seen a number of Airstreamers come through, but were unaware of this site.

Thanks for the update, John. Sounds really beautiful. The fishing report sounds very inspiring and now I can't wait to get in on some of the action. We're going to have a great time !

Well...we're back up and running just in time to discuss details for our rally! Yippee!
I heard from John this week, he's looking forward to our visit. He did say if upon arrival if you want to change sites you must do so through the 1-800 reservation number...there is no one on site that has the "master reservation sheet"....not that anybody's going to want to, but just in case.
Anyway, we are planning on arriving about 7:00pm on Thursday, we have a meeting in the am that we must attend first, so we hope to leave Silverthorne by noon.
I think we'll both we ready for a relaxing weekend after that! See you soon ~
Shari
BTW there are still some sites open for you last minute folks...

Denver area - Caravan - interest?
We are planning to leave Thursday morning in our 1977 Avion Motorhome from Denver.
Those of you from Denver area, any interest in caravanning together? We were going to go with Shari but they had a need for alternate plans.
(There is still some chance that we may not be able to go, but we are working backups plans and should know more today.)

Pot Luck
My bride of 8 months, legal consultant, and head cook would like to know if the pot luck is of a coordinated one. IE someone brings main dish, other salad dish, and then someone brings my favorite desert. Or do we just bring in a surprise and hope that we don't have 20 salads.

I vote for a TRUE pot luck...
It may be a little too late to organize anything more than that at this point. I think some folks are already on the road...unfortunately with the forum being down last week, we'll have to wing it a bit more...
That's fine with us...I've never been to an A/S rally that didn't have amazing "trailer" fare!

Silverton!
I haven't been there in 8 years. I went in late late May and it snowed. Had to pull over to take a picture. How's the bar ..... er I mean the shops?

We're coming too
Glad the forum's back.
Rhonda and I (Jim) have reserved site 51 and will leave Loveland, Co Thursday morning. We have a 67 Tradewind that we have been working on the past few months. This will be our first trip in it or any trailer for that matter. We towed it around town a few days ago just to see if it and we worked together. No problems, but backing with mirrors is a bit confusing. By the time we are there we will know a lot about going forward.
