Rock River Rendezvous in Northern Illinois

Time to wind down the Camping Season along the Rock River In Oregon Illinois.

We’ll be gathering at the Lowden State Park in Oregon Illinois on Columbus Day Weekend October 9th, 10th and 11h.

The Park is located south of Rockford off of River Road, Route 33, North of Oregon Illinois.
Lowden is a Illinois State Park, and reservations can be made through Reserve America.

Sites 35-49 worked well this Spring so make your reservations in or around the shady Rest Loop. The sites are gravel and grass with 30 and 50 amp electric. The shower house and water hydrants are close by. There are unreserved sites close by on a first come first served basis.
With luck we’ll get some great Fall weather.

Hope everyone had a good summer. Mine was quite busy with family issues,my own health issues, a major remodel of my office with a new job description,new computer progam to learn amd much more responsibilities and to top it off Tom had some testing and we are awaiting the results.

Hope to see everyone at Lowden Columbus Day weekend which is Oct 9-11.
For some reason Tom changed the name to Rock River Rendevous. Hope to see everyone soon. Remember to book thru Reserve America your site.

I will be first to jump in. Penny and I will arrive Fri. Am leave on Sun. Pm. for Thompson causeway as have trip planned for Mo. Nc. Ky. And In. Have not selected site yet or dish to pass for Sat. pot luck, hopefully will be good turn out. Water is also very good with no sediment or taste and hydrant by these sites

Hopefully you're enjoying the last vestiges of summer.
We're just one month out from the Fall Rally. There are still sites on the inside of the loop at Lowden.
We'll keep this outing simple with no set theme, just chillin' in the Autumn air and Fall colors.
We'll explore the area and have a Pot Luck on Saturday night as usual

Booked site 45 for Fri. Sat. leave Sun. Penny still on fence for dish for pot luck. I will not have ezy ups as long trip planned won't need them, will have fire wood as usual but not as much but if some others stay thru Mon. I'll bring extra and leave there. No one has come forward for this outing, so don't no who is coming or not.

With luck we'll have weather as good at today, sunny and 75.
We're in site 39. I have a few verbal commitments but this will be a smaller gathering than last year.
There's 3 sites left on the inside of the loop so there is plenty of space left
for anyone who would like to come on in.

A week from now we'll sitting down to the Saturday Pot Luck.
Remember to provide your own meat and bring a dish to pass. Sue is bringing an Autumnal Green Salad and baking an Apple Cake.
Weather looks good with with 60s during the day and upper 40s at night.

Weather just beautiful at Lowden State Park, having a good time with friends .We found some great antique stores at Conover Square mall in town.apple cake in the oven for the potluck tonight.
