One Happy Rivette

Well here I sit exactly one week past my return home - and about this time of day too. I've been reading what other Rivettes have posted and I'm certain I can't add much, if anything. That's why it's taken me so long to post myself. For inspiration I have donned my Rosie bandanna (thanks for making our bandanas Paula) now rolled tightly, headband style, with the ends making little "ears" that stick up. Perfect! Dear Ike and daughter Sarah have walked by and ....... laughed. (So I have to get THAT picture out - you all remember which one don't you? LOL)

Ok, SSR. I can honestly say this has been an outstanding event in my life. I have regained some self confidence and felt empowered as a person and a woman. My new friends are amazing, talented and sure are a hellava lot of fun!! It was as if we had done this all before and had known one another for a good long while. A real good fit we were. And they had really nifty treats to give out. Many thanks for all the goodies.
If I needed help they were there to gently guide. We met as strangers and left as sisters .... Silver Sisters. I miss them and find I left with some questions about them unasked - easily remedied. AND knowing we get to do this again, I can hardly wait to get our plans going!
Caravanning, especially with my dear sis Vickie and Danielle and grabbing Steph on the way home, was totally cool - it's an Airstream thing some just wouldn't understand.

My family is proud of my accomplishment and I thank them for their support and encouragement. I know my parents would have been proud also. That is exactly how my daddy raised me. I had to show him I could jack up the car and change a tire before I could use it - and yes, that skill came in handy one night in a rural area.

Well ladies, thanks for the memories and here's to the making of many more!!!
It was a wonderful time even though shorter for some than others!!!

Sue

That would be just fine - Sam is such a sweet little fellow - besides all the Silver Sisters can mold him early into the "Perfect" Man - waiting for another Rivettes daughter to come along and keep the Rivette spirit alive many years in the future

Suz so glad you are home safe and sound.

It really is a neat feeling isn't it (okay don't ruin the moment I am actually being serious right now) - you know it girl that feeling!!!

Ha ha Ha I didn't know you were there to capture my hula hoop antics. Amazing how I moved and it just dropped...not like I remember hula hoops at all. LOL But Karen was great at it. Guess I need to move more on a REGLAR basis!!!!!

Suz I feel a lot like you do but you say it so well. I feel absolutely energized and ready for more! You ladies do a sister good, good for the heart. I had a great time. Steph are we doing the recipe book? I loved all the special dishes we had. Wouldn't even begin to know how to duplicate them.

Vicki I was just telling Brad not 5 minutes agao about the delectable chocolates you served us.

If we go far you bring the 5 year old I might bring the 50 year old. We will still be sisters, I think we have set a process of bonding in motion that will not be soon separated.

Too funny about the chocolate Carol...hmmm Sharon holding out on us eh???

Sharon--you'd have seen some tears in Detroit baseball last year when the Cards pulled out a can of whop Tigers....

More jiffy pop next rally, I was bummed about the flame color thing, that was a waste.

Smile Caravan to Michigan (Sunday caravan that is)

Carol and Sharon had a caravan a little later in the week.

Here are some pics of the ladies of Mich who got past orange barrel fever on 23 going south, if you've done that barrel dodgin in an Airstream you know we have earned our rivets from this trip!! Way to go Vickie in the lead, Suz navigating with the gps, and on the way home from Ohio, Steph tin caboose...

Oh that is cool. I bet you drew some attention at that rest stop, maybe even some thumbs up along the way?! That was a big rig caravan. Great shots. Those barrels were bad especially when they were placed inside the lane completely and then the shoulder sprouted a curb. YEOWWW.

Hey found the water filter and the phone chargers, now. Who would ever put a brand new water filter in the basket with the cloths, napkins and rings?

Steph our Hensley Princess, I love that title.

Lou what nice thing have you done for the Rivettes? How nice you are.
