I like your ideas Jamie! Odd how we have a heavy concentration on the East and on the West and there is Georgia (not the state ) in the middle. Great central location for our International.

Cody bear I want sooo much to go to California, but I am still in awe at just how long a trip it was from here to Oregon last summer. Wish we could get special frequent driver gas awards. I wanted to go down the coast Southward but then I wanted to "save" that for when Brad and I could experience it the first time together. Your "neck of the woods" has to be ever so different and exciting for us. What are the "must see" spots to hit?

I am wanting to meet all the Western Rivettes so badly. That certainly would be the caravan to top all!

Carol, almost went to Michigan last year for a conference w/Steve, but time didn't permit it..took the Safari all the way to Wisconsin a couple of years ago, hitting and staying 13 states along the way and back to California..would love to go to N.Y. someday..if you come westward to California, you could hit all the popular' destinations like San Francisco, Malibu, L.A., San Diego, Carmel, Monterey but especially my personal favorite is to be near the Northern Pacific Coast ..beautiful Pacific Ocean and shoreline beaches, and also the Redwoods would be terrific to camp in..the Rallies here I've been to have been wonderful w/the great group of members I've met. in Lake San Antonio, in central area and in 29 Palms in Southern area of California..there's a Rally coming up in April 27-29 at the Cassini Ranch near the Russian River..just pack up and head this way!!!

Hey, Steph, nice job on getting our Rivettes Summer Solstice banner into the rotation for the front page. I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw it appear. Summer sun, here we come!

Thanks Jamie, I hadn't realized when we set up the rally calendar/campground info that we could send Andy R the info and he would put the banner in rotation below the quick links box on the portal page. Thanks Andy!

Shari (Inside Out) has also helped to patiently edit that rally calendar for yours truly many times, including posting the link to the rivette store that Jamie set up. Thanks Shari!!

Other forum rallys can be promoted too, the thread with directions is here in the forums:

Wow Carol, that's the correct page, it should appear in the far left column above your buddy list and below the quick links box.
Does the screen refresher help?

I was just sittin' around the fire at the Silver Sisters rally and I learned that Tin Sista is a gourmet cook, so I got all excited about the possibilities of picking up some camp cuisine and I had to rush right over here to the Summer Solstice rally planning site to start some talk about rally food.

Steph, have you been cooking up any ideas for our get-together? What are your favorite rally meals, ladies? To me the ideal is something easy, yet delicious. Also, I travel with my Camp Chef w/grill box which I'm happy to share with all of you at the rally. What other grills and cooking tools will we have along?

I've got a weber - not the baby - the bigger one - we use it at home for our BBQ as well so I guess I should be looking for a new one for my solo trips.

I'll bow out of the cooking scene - that way you all will make it through the rally without food poisoning.

Hmm what can I bring----the tool box and the entertainment

Well off out into the cold now to fix the Yukon - The Ladybug wiring blew a big 50amp fuse in the Yukon so I have to change it out and get my rear lights and inside dash/dimmer back - can't drive another minute with those darn 4-ways on....

Oh Annie--- 80 degrees! OH Annie. Bottle it and bring it with, we may not see that even in June!

Jamie, I love appetizers and noshing often. I have a spinach stuffed mushroom recipe I will make. How about a taco/salad bar? Or potato bar and grill our own meat?

Simply stated ladies, if we are what we eat, then I am fast, cheap and easy.

Fast, cheap, and easy!

You are too much, Carol -- fast, cheap, and easy! Sounds good to me.

For the grilling, I could make my barbecued flank steak recipe to share with anyone who's interested. It's super easy to marinate and throw on the grill.

Taco/salad bar sounds good too. I can make a chicken/bean filling for that. And maybe some chips and mango salsa? Guacamole anyone?
