Ooh la la -- pretty pics, Carol! We miss you back here though. Do be careful when you hit the road after your diplomacy tour of the IBT. It's mighty icy across the states right now. Maybe best to head south for a while. If you're still in Fla. around Feb. 7-12, give me a shout.

-J

p.s. When I get my trike, you get first dibs on taking a ride around the campground.

Carol,
That sounds like a great idea, appetizers are fun and easy, the hardest part will be walking away from the appetizer bar! Love those pictures!

Fulltime Rally-ettes!

I've long recognized that the Rivettes weekend would probably occur just after the midwest Moraine View rally -- it's just been announced for June 8th, 9th & 10th. The more the merrier I would say. Please keep us in mind in the unlikely event that you have the whole month of June off. So many rallies, so little time...

Carol - howdy - so nice to hear from you - were worried that you got picked up by the looney bin walking around with your PJ's on - I have that Picture on my HD and may just have it as a screen saver for a laugh or two.

Very crazy weather!!!! we go from -28c to 10+c in the same day a wonder more people are not sick with cold's.

Hey whats happenin -everyone is going SOUTH!!!!!! I want to go SOUTH TOO

If Hubby had not got the job change - we would be leaving in 3 weeks for our Month trip to the sunny warmth! But now all I can do is buy a sun lamp and close my eyes and imagine......drinking all the different wines that have been listed and now listing of tantilyzing aps.....

Maybe I will pass my winter getting into tin snippin - and make little RSSR ground stickin things....have to look into that - I love to paint like a kid and I think little suns would be cool. Too Bad I am not into Stain Glass - could make little ones to hang in our windows.......Annie & Marvin hmm got any spare time????? They are whizes at it.

Hope all goes well with Ike, All you gals driving out their drive real careful and life is too short to take silly risks - pull over and stay the night if the forecast sucks.

On the double tour -from the RSSR to the International - is really tempting - but not sure if Hubby could last that long without me - better stated not sure I could last that long without my........puppies okay I said it okay I think I would miss the Hubby too. He does not read this very often so I think I might be safe.....then again I could traveling a long time with orders not to come home.

Okay Rivettes - only 154 more sleeps

Someone should call Andrea tomorrow at 937 368-2449 as they are filling up fast. The two pencil pointers indicate areas. One is a back in the top area is pull through I think.

There are two scheduled events for June 23rd a tractor pull with the MCPA and the Miami Valley Kruzers are having a free admission cruise in, so sites are filling up.

Here's me on Saturday in Georgia and me in Ohio on Sunday!

Carol -- will they hold a block for us? Or do we all need to call and reserve individually?

The place looks great to me! All wide open, with trees and farm scenery. I can just picture it with sunshine and green! Thanks for the due diligence on this, and the detailed pics.

Are you home now? Hope you're not still out driving in snow and ice.

Smile Just a note to clarify--please don't worry yet...

Hi all,
Sorry I wasn't clearer earlier in the thread details---way back on post 57 whew!
When I called earlier this month, the owner Steve, told me he was holding 40 pull throughs and the chapel for us to gather in. He didn't even want my credit card numbers.
Its being held with me listed as the contact person cause I blabbed on the phone with him.. I will surely follow up tomorrow, he had told me at the time we had the last gathering spot cause of those events. I do not have anything in writing so far, but I will surely ask him for that tomorrow.

Just so you all know, kudos go to Vickie (Towdaddy) who was the genius who found this great place!! And just in time to get the spots we did. Take a bow Vickie!!

If there has been an error with the reservations though that is entirely my fault, and I will surely do my best to fix it!

Many Thanks

Hi there Carol,

Thanks so much for stopping by Poor Farmers. I appreciate so much that you took the time to do this for us. What did you think of the campground? Do you think the layout will work for us? We want all the first-time-trailering Rivette's to feel comfortable with parking once at their destination.

Thanks also for your contribution at the recent IBT meetings. WOW!

I hope your travels have been safe and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Ttys,

Vickie

Thumbs up Reservations for 40 pull throughs are confirmed

Hi,
Just talked to the folks at our campground, and confirmed that we are all set for 40 sites electric and water. If we have lots more join us I can call to see if we need to add on. By the week before the rally they'd like a final head count. Extra details here (post 57).
The group reservation is in my name for the Airstream group--no need for individual campers to call ahead.
Written confirmation on the way to me via email.
No money deposit needed--pay on arrival $20 night for however long you stay extra $3/per night to run the air conditioning.
No specific individual site info (such as numbers or letter loops) except that we have 40 pull throughs together and the chapel gathering space with some 50 amp service. (Not all sites have 50 amp service please tell them when you check in).
No campground maps available, however, Carol's great photo gives you an idea Thanks so much Carol for going to that trouble.
If you want to register for the rally using the forum calendar, feel free to click on the link in my signature below, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link that says I will attend.
Please let me know if you have questions about this!

Campground Confirmation

Hi Steph,

Thanks for going to the trouble to double-check this. We appreciate you taking such good care of us. Now all we need is to have 30 something more sign up.

Greatly Appreciative,

Vickie

I'm happy to follow up, better safe than sorry is my motto!! Please just let me know if there's any questions I've overlooked (I'm sure there are many!)
Thanks again Vickie for the campground research/reviews!
I'd like to thank Carol for going there and taking the tour and photos for us! Can't wait to hear more fun ideas for the rally!
