The coals getting the right temp is a pain sometimes. I had the same trouble at Silver Falls. I like to use those chimney starters for the coals. Gets them going quickly and usually fairly evenly... But it is extra stuff to bring along...
Ummmmm, Peach cobbler sounds yummy.... wish we had been able to be there.
Recently went to San Francisco, it was lovely there, but way too hot everywhere else and the air conditioner quit in our car....
so we travelled early in the morn....
We pencilled in the last weekend in Oct. for Beverly Beach! Hope to see all of you there!
(aka: Mrs. NorCal Bambi hoping to travel in S Tardis soon whenever our new axle arrives....)
