Thanks! The new park is quite a draw. I've been wanting to go for ages.

Here's a new campsite map. Any additions or corrections appreciated.

Wow....your first post, and I am gathering that this will be your first AirForums rally! Have you reserved a site, or are you going to take a chance with securing one of the walk-up sites? We look forward to meeting you at the Pinnacles!

Cheers, Dee

Hey All, I seem to recall that the RV sites at Pinnacles are "amenity challenged" in that they dont have tables at each site, not sure. Anyone out there know for sure? The reason I'm bringing this up is that if we want to have some sort of foodie/drinkie get together, we might need to bring some folding tables. That way we won't trip over all the wine bottles ... on the ground ... if we didn't have tables ... to put the wine bottles ... on.

We've got a 5' light weight plastic table we can easily bring if needed; I'm sure some others have similar tables that might be usable.

We were there last May, shortly after Pinnacles National Monument became Pinnacles National Park. A few of the things they did in preparation for the festivities surrounding this change in status was to pave part of the campground road and lay a new coat of gravel on the RV pads. As I recall, there are tables in each camp site (perhaps another attempt at sprucing things up for the visiting dignitaries)....I cannot recall if the tables are chained down or not. However, one thing to keep in mind is that the electrical service is flaky (at least it was in May, when the temps soared above 100-degrees). Just in case, make sure you bring your long-johns!

We were there in April and there were movable tables. In addition to wine(which we love) we will be bringing a keg of homebrew beer and one of cider. Hopefully there are other beer drinkers and we won't have to drink it all ourselves.

Beer? Did someone say beer? Fear not, you'll have aid and assistance.
