Thanks, Vaughan! Sorry Gene, I didn't see the post until this morning (not ignoring you!). Yep, we're about halfway between Little Rock and Pine Bluff. And have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and spending time with Vaughan! NICE fellow!!

Vaughan, darn it - I wish we could be there to help you with the A/C if you needed it. But it sounds like you have it firmly in hand, just in time now the weather has turned cooler.

Love the hat, Richard! Can you loan it to us to wear around Steve this weekend???

Susan
(Anxiously awaiting 2:00 to get off work and head to Branson!!!)

That hat belongs to someone who was at the Balloon Fiesta Rally, not me. I would tell you who, but that information stays at the Balloon Fiesta Rally!

steve had a better wifi conncection this am....

seems the county jail has broadband

so anyone still on the road, bring bail money!

we just might have our host back by supper time.

as we ran low of wine last evening an unlabeled bottle of..

'home brew' appeared...

most of those sampling it can still see today..

if only from one eye...

cheers all

Well, it looks like we will be late after all. I have to wait on a press release about our plant starting up again and it keeps getting pushed out (the startup).

Ok, Juel, we concede your OU victory yesterday. . .but stand warned! Mizzou today is a different kind of CAT and we're getting hungrier all the time. Here's to another meeting, next year, hopefully at home in our own Tiger 'zou ~G

another fine day in the ozarks....

last evening the chili competition was heated.

but bill and becky (best brisket already) nailed the trophy.

anytime you can camp with these folks, bring a napkin and fork!

we had a fine meal and awards event and balloon slides and movie and fire and...

chocolate martinis!

by late this morning many were reluctantly hitting the road.

at least 20 trailers here this weekend,

and many new friendships were started... to be continued.

fantastic weather, food, music, chats, prizes, trailers and so on.

but above it ALL were the great people.

BIG THANKS TO STEVE AND AMY AND COLIN!!!

about 8 are staying another night, or 2.

life is good on the ridge.

expect pics in the next few days as the chili wears down and the cameras off-gas...

cheers

[Airhog-1 accent]

WE HAD A BLAST!!!!!

[/Airhog-1 accent]

I want to personally thank everyone who attended this rally (Even Juel who could not at the last moment).

We had 26 trailers in attendance for the Inaugural Branson Rally, and I hope many of you make it again. As I told many of you, this rally would not have happened without YOU. I was merely the one who put the pieces together. The weather was perfect, the food was amazing, and the people were friendly. We had a large amount of first time rally attendees, and with hope we will see them all again.

Big thanks to all the people who had donated items for the raffle and brought food items. Another big thanks to the Chili Judges...that was alot of chili to sample.

Thanks to Airhog-1 and Jaxon for bringing the music, and talent to play it.

Thanks to 2Air for the nightly campfires, and for sharing those wondrous chocolate martinis that he won.

Congrats to Bill and Becky for winning the Chili cook-off. We had to disqualify 2Air for substituting his chili with some nuclear waste he dug out of the ground in Kansas (Not kidding folks).

Thanks to everyone for the words of thanks, trinkets, and the memories.

About getting out of jail. It wasn't the normal looking cell like you would think. I was in a hole in the ground with a bucket continuously lowered to me asking to put the lotion in the basket. When I was rescued by the police, I only saw an airstream with the WBCCI numbers 3434. Of course the guy got away and is still on the loose. Last he was seen in disguise with a human arm coming out of the back of his shirt.

Pics to follow soon.

Steve
