Funny thing is we live 20 min. from Branson so this would be a good 1st trip out with the club. that way if you hate us we can come on home.

Keep in touch
Kani4mac,

If you are serious, and want to rally with us, I would contact Compton Ridge and make reservations. Click the sign up link on my signature info, and there number is located on the page. They were almost full the last time I caled them (A few weeks ago).

I am at Fort Leonard Wood, so holler if you are in these parts, or up in St. Louis.

Steve

the t4 is a nice hat with a BIG ole brim.

it's cotton duck cloth so it's pretty darn rugged.

and like a pair of 501s, it gets better each time it's washed.

sorry guys but max isn't into chili, unless it's lamb....

he's got a very discriminating palate (glancing over at what he is licking right now)

looks like the rally has an excellent group of folks...

gonna be a fine time in october.

who's up for noodling?

cheers

2air',

Everything went great...we had a blast in Airhog1...it really is a nice trailer (thank you cosmotini!!!)

We towed with a 2001 Ford Excursion 4X4...did not even hardly know the 28 footer was back there...

We have been camping as a family for years in white box SOB's...so it was nothing new to the wife...just a lot nicer accomodations!

I have some pics of the trip but I am having comp. problems at home where I downloaded them...

I hope to get them posted soon!

By the way...I think I will get a T4 headed my way!

When we called in last week or the week before (after 3 days, memory fades... gotta upgrade my systems tools...), Compton told me they had 2 spots left in the North campground, one of which I could have... and it's like the first one by the road... might have to move from that one...

Last night I sold some old parts to Mark "The Airstream Guy" Evans. He would like to attend in his recently acquired 54 Wanderer. They are calling compton ridge to inquire on availability.

If not the north camp, the other may be open.

I'm sure there is plenty of room in the main campground....didn't they say if we have enough people attend, they might move all of us to the main?

Jack,

There is likely plenty of room there, but I do not know if they will give the 50% discount to Good Sams members as they do at the north park.

That is really the only reason I chose it...to save people some money.

Is it right to assume that 100% of the bookings in the north park are us, or are there others there also? Steve, have they given you an update?

Jack,

It isn't all us, and some SOB's will be there. I called and they had 18 or 19 Airforums members listed. Others may be there and not telling them about the airforum rally though.

Compton Ridge Full

I received an email from someone wanting to sign up for the rally today that both north and south grounds at Compton Ridge are full over the rally dates.

I will start a waiting list of those with interest still.

This is strange since for the last few years the south (main) campground has had tons of space during this time of the year. Steve you might want to follow up on this to verify that this information is correct.

If so there are two other campgrounds fairly close. One is Silver Dollar City campground which is just across the street from the main Compton Ridge campground. Another campground just north of Compton Ridge North is named Tall Pines.
