Oh, no, Steve! I missed it! What happened to your beautiful custom trailer?

And I am SO sorry about those jerks selling the recent one out from under you.

Susan

Jack,

Havent talked with B.T. yet, but they won't likely get in an older unit that is small enough for me to tow with a v-6 trailblazer.

Susan,

The caravanner was nice, but with no AC or LP service, it was going to make camping more difficult, and much less comfortable that we had hoped for. For Missouri heat, AC is a must, and propane is nice for cooking when it isn't nice outside.

I had a trailer picked out, and was promised it, but it was sold out from under me a week before I was to go pick it up (6 days actually).

I could go new, but they just don't make them like they used to, and the OSB floors in the new really concern me since they suck up water like a sponge.

Steve

Ah, understandable. Living in Arkansas as we do, I *totally* am with you on the a/c part, and you really do need a propane system, in my opinion (cooking, heat, etc.).

I hope you find the unit of your dreams SOON! You have about three months to go...

Wouldn't hurt to put them on the alert though. He does move a lot of trailers.

Worse case don't forget that Compton Ridge has their motel next to our campground. Also they that have camping cabins in the main campground and sleeping rooms in the same main campground. So you could still be in the action if you were without a trailer.

Jack,

Didn't think about those cabins if they aren't booked yet. I will send Josh Kahn an email tomorrow at B.T.

Jax,

My may tow weight is 4800 and I would prefer to stay as far below that as possible.

Steve

Steve,
What are your "rules" for chili? I hear those Texan's don't use beans in their chili...the horror! 0
Laura makes a great white chili.

Steve says anything goes in the chili contest. Hot, med, mild, white, beans, no beans, chicken, pork, beef....there will be 3 judges who will decide.

Yeah... kind of like the salsa that's made in "New York City" they advertise around these parts... shoot, as long as it doesn't move or bite back, it's fair game. 'Course, you could be talking about transplant Texans... the one's from California... or New York... I hear they put bean sprouts in theirs...

"Steve says anything goes in the chili contest."

I guess that means bribes and backroom deals can be made...I've invited a friend that judges in S. IL chili cook-off, fish fry and BBQ contests. He's "on the payroll"...(not parole).

I think tikihut made deer chili at Moraine View Rally two years ago. Pretty good, if I recall.

It's all fair game....Artstream is volunteering to be a judge, and I need two more judges....VOLUNTEERS??? I could have campground staff be the judge as well.

Double Points for originality.

I better find a trailer so I have something to cook this chili in.
