A few peopel ahve asked me a few things..

Reservations are not available at a Forest Preserve, but the Camp Host does know us (Gary and I and the dogs are there pretty often) and will help us stay together.

We'll keep a campfire going pretty steady, and try to set up a visiting center ASAP.

Saturday's dinner will be at 5 p.m... I'd like to eat early since it's getting darker earlier and we have visitors with no camper.. that will give us lots of time to eat and visit.

Dessert potluck sometime after ;-)

The order for dinner is placed.. we'll be picking it up in the caterer's pans and will have to heat the pulled pork.. they have two (other, ours isn't big) big events planned for the same day and need us to be out of the way by two.. so that's fine with Gary..

I've ordered pulled pork, buns, bowtie pasta salad, potato salad and baked beans. Those were the caterer's recommendations.. so anyone requiring special or different diet will have plenty of time to pick it up.

For those of you new to Pec, there's a grocers in town, on the main street.

Price ended up being less than I thought.. so it's seven bucks apiece. You can pay me, or Gary, when you see us.

All the signs are here for you all to have a great rally weekend: cool, crisp fall weather, shiny trailers, great food, even greater 'streamers coming in for the fun. Best wishes, and be sure to post the after-pics so the rest of us can enjoy your celebration, from afar

I will be travelling to Skokie (Chicago suburb) tomorrow afternoon to pick up our son Eric.... and we will come directly from Skokie to Pec; should be there around five. I can't snag him until after his work, and he works until three.

Gary is bringing Luna out earlier in the day,(Thursday) and then coming in to work for awhile........ he'll close early and hopefully be your greeting committee :-)

Everybody is on their own tomorrow night for dinner.. I have NO IDEA what WE are going to do.
I know that Eric always likes to stop at Starbucks for our ride home, so we'll be JACKED :-) WATCH OUT !!

Hi All!

We made it home safe and sound. It took no time at all to get the trailer all put away... I mean no time. LOL!

Thanks to everyone for the trailer tours, all the great info and the wonderful hospitality. We felt at home right from the start. The only thing the kids said they missed was "our trailer"... so you'all don't have to worry, I'll have plenty of reminders to keep at it.

I hope to see you all down the road.

The Holmbergs are home safe and sound.. and we really did have a GREAT rally.. we saw old friends and collected some new ones, too... and WELCOME to those guys :-)

I hope we didn't concern you too much with Sue's cavorting under the Halloween moon.. awww, never mind :-)

The only complaint that I have is that I really think that the trees could have accommodated us a BIT more and been a little bit brighter ;-)

Safe trip home in the rain. Mostly unpacked, all the extra food in the refrigerator, clothes in the washer and our bodies napping in the water bed. Life couldn't be greater.
Had a great time seeing everyone. Nice to have new people join the group. Great set of pictures Rachelle, you are so much more creative than we are.
Thanks for everyones contributions to the dinner Friday night. Special thanks for Maryann for the great brisket and to Gary and Rachelle for planning our weekend and getting the food.

So NOT True!!

Without Sue, the only decoration (almost) we would have had would have been Eric's neon shirt :-)

Now, if we could just have just had the RIGHT cd in the RIGHT case for music :-)

I should have checked the cd case. I assumed that my nieces put the correct cd in the correct box.
But then Gary did get the Jimmy Buffet music for us.

Like I said.. 12.95 a month for Sirius Satellite Radio, and a zillion stations, and he only listens to ONE.
