Thursday I have a Motorhome visit with the physical therapist to work out how to get into and out of the motorhome with the new "leg." If all goes OK we will see you all on 12th.

Hi gang,

Went out to the MH this morning with the physical therapist and all went well. Am able to get in and out without problems, so all is good for leaving in two weeks. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Welcome wader. Let's hear from you.
Sue's getting excited. Rachelle, do we need any side dishes or is everything set with the caterer? She's got her Hawaiian party stuff packed and ready to go.
At this point I'm waiting for the 10 day forecast to see if I'll get there Thursday or Friday. Want to wax the old girl (not Sue ) before I go.

Tom.

Tom and Jim,

Thanks for the welcome.

Before you guys get too excited, I won't be bringing my unit since it is currently in "drydock" but at the suggestion of "till" I'm planning on making the trip down with my family for the afternoon on Saturday. I've been corresponding with RaChelle on the details.

I'm looking forward to meeting all you folks smart enough to own a '67 :-) ...and of course any and all others willing to meet my restoration crew.

I'm a greenhorn and this will be my first Airstream "event" so I'm hoping that IBT style rules don't apply. LOL!

See you all on the 13th.

I will guarantee that IBT rules don't apply.

I read your blog and wondered how you would be done in two weeks. Now I know. Hope that all the family will be coming.

We have a couple if spare chairs that you are welcome to use while you are there.

Thanks Jim,

My trailer is further along than shown in my last blog entry, but not in the "put back together" direction. Last weekend I removed the rear 12ft of floor awaiting installation of the new grey and black tanks... which I have yet to fabricate. I'm still trying to decide what gauge stainless to use.

Steve,

Please do not go with stainless. It is heavy and way overkill. Just go with the plastic or fiberglass tanks that you can get off the shelf with fittings where you want. Most tank places will put fittings where you want for a small fee. It will save weight and headachs and pains....

Tedd,

The extra weight of S.S. I can see... but the "headaches and pains?" ...you'll have to clue me in on those.

Steve,

Never mind, I just read your profile...... The headaches would be for the novice. i.e. keeping the sides from warping while welding the box up... I see that you do this kind of thing for a living.

Novice... that's me! ...but I work for a company whose business is fabricating such things. I'm planning to do the welding myself though. I can save myself about $250 a tank.

I do have the benefit of some expert advice.

Good Good Good

I was wondering what the therapist would say about the MoHo.. your unit is REALLY nice and I knew you could do it.

I really admire you for keeping on keeping on.. we all need to remember to do that!

Count Down is happening :-)

Wel it definitely looks like we'll be small, but friendly :-)

I am ordering food tomorrow, and I really hope weather smiles on us.

I've emailed Wader with a few details.. I hope they can come for more than few hours. I remember well the year that Gary and I attended Moraine View with no trailer.. it wasn't as much fun as actually staying :-)

They'll have better luck with us since this is so small and cozy.

So please send me a last minute headcount of how many people wil be in each group. There will be three of us, and our two pups.
