We are sweating - my passport renewal has come back fine, no sign of Donna's yet. We'll be on the phone tomorrow to find out what is up if it is not in the mailbox.

We will also find out if our having NEXUS is enough. Given to get it you are required to have a valid passport that would take the tension out of the air right now if that is all she needs, but I think her passport will be here in time regardless. Her's went in a few days after mine, but I've had mine for two weeks. Her's went special delivery, mine went regular mail. Her's said she needed it back for this trip, mine didn't.

Pulled the trailer out of the cover Friday and started going through the de-winterizing process. Because of the Olympics we are having outstanding warm weather, it was about 60 and very sunny Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun. By this weekend the traielr will be ready for the road.

Of course there are some people who have been out "practicing" their coast camping this past week. They are SO bad......they even sent a picture.

See you all in 11 (or 12) days .

Sadly, we will NOT be able to come.... Morgen's robot competition will require us to be there for more time than I thought... and the commute from the rally to downtown will probably get old for me real fast... so sadly, we're skipping this one.. BUMMER!

JD will have to fill us in on things.. he'll be camping in our spot.
Take care!
Marc and the M's....

Sounds like there's no sign up list for the meals, but we'll be bringing stuff. Think I'll make a big pot of split pea soup for Friday, rye bread and dessert. We'll bring some other stuff too, just haven't thought any further. Don't have an oven, so will be stove top or salad stuff.

Sorry to hear Marc and the rest of the family won't be joining us. We'll catch up again soon!

Barry, I hope that passport comes in time!

Hi Janice, that sounds great. I was thinking about doing a pot luck list but it was so far ahead. I think we'll all just wing it, it will work out. It usually does

We're SOOO excited we are going to Ft. Stevens. Will get the Lil Bigfoot out and get rid of the pink stuff and check it over. Just finished up on smoothing out the floor of the caravel today and have the interior skin all back on. Will give it a good cleaning in preparation for paint this week-end or next week. Glad Donna's passport is on the way Barry. Roger

Looking forward to this first of the year outing. Also looking to meet many new people. Our first trip with the A/S group was the Steens Mtns, and we had a great trip. Beautiful country, really nice people and a very fun trip.

I can't wait!!! We'll be cleaning out the water system this weekend too; sanitizing the tank, and replacing the city water inlet that we haven't been able to use for the last year as it leaks so badly. We're also going to move it so it's no longer right next to the dump valve. (What were they thinking???)

We'll be there Thursday night; the goal is to leave Portland around 4pm, so we can arrive well before 8. However, the best laid plans...
