Ok well I had some extra time today so I de-winterized. Made a repair to my couch and fired the refer. I am good to go. Everything worked on the first try. Gotta love that.

Got our trailer back from the home show and the only problem was a leak where a rubber 'patch' in the water lines had slipped loose. Someone must have thought the water pump switch was a light switch, and it dribbled a bit of water in the battery compartment. Easy fix. I'll have it dried out and ready to roll for this weekend.

We also had a small water leak at the faucet and it was not fun getting to it but we are now about ready to go. Donna gets off tomorrow at 4:30 so we'll be on the road about 6 and will get to south of Tacoma and finish up the drive Thursday morning.

Thanks for the suggestion on quantity of food Janet. We were wondering about how much to bring as well - so we'll count on enough for 10 to 12 for our share.

Barry

We are crossing our fingers. First trip out for the year. So far the fridge works on shore power. Hope it will work on the propane. We plan to leave tomorrow about noon - hopefully. Looking for a great trip and meeting new people. Safe trip to all.

We'll be there with the '75 Argosy MH, arriving Saturday evening. This will be it's maiden voyage since leaving LYH via a tow truck. This will be a trial run for determining whether to take it down to L.A. for a two week spring break adventure, starting the next weekend.

We may bring the '65 Sovereign as well, but with a separate tow vehicle. The Argosy's not quite ready to tow the Airstream . We'll be in the 210-240 loop, unless everyone takes-over the "I" loop, as mentioned. The '65 Sovereign had a winter outing to Leavenworth, WA, so it's still good to go. Both Airstream and Argosy are restorations in progress. We'll have our two kids in tow as well, 7 and 9 year old girls. Hope there'll be some other kids around too. Excited to meet everyone and see all the beautiful Airstreams.

Astoria regrets

I was hoping to attend my first regional gathering with my partially restored AS motor home, but can't make it due to family gatherings.

I did use the outing as a goal to get some major work done on it. I now have two new group 31 house batteries installed where the starting battery was and swapped the starting battery and house battery locations. Lots of battery cable re-routing required, but we were able to use the existing stuff and by doing this I gained a lot more dry camping power reserves.

Two of us racked and twisted the door back into the correct shape and a spot weld today will fix a crack in the frame before the interior skin goes back on. The gap at the bottom allowed the previous owner's field mice free housing.

I removed a lot of interior panels to vacuum and scrub out mouse debris, so I feel much better about the cleanliness before I put in the new flooring.

I will sell the 'Entertainment Center' AM/FM radio and 8 track player combo with the lightweight plastic housing if anyone wants to do a faithful restoration to their Airstream motor home.

I will miss you, but should be able to make the next one!

Gary

Great! We won't be there until dinner hour, or so, but we're looking forward to it!

Lisa & George - can't wait to see your motorhome! We will be arriving tomorrow evening, but without our 17 year old son. He has 3 projects due at school on Monday, so Sean's sister (who lives across the street) will make sure he works on them. Right now he's being a good son & is giving the Argosy a bath!

This sounds like such a fun trip! Safe travels, everyone, and we'll see you soon!

This sounds like it's going to be great fun. We had a bit of a setback this week as Alki, our elderly dog, was sick and spent the night at the vet. Now she's home and seems to be back to normal, so I think we'll be down there Friday as scheduled. Looking forward to a weekend around the fire!
