We're bringing pasta salad with roasted fennel, onions and sun dried tomatoes for Saturday dinner.
We're going to try to leave early tomorrow so we should be there around noon too. I just went out to plug in the trailer to get the refrig cold and realized I'd lost my 110 adapter so we may make a stop on the way to get another. I assume the camp as 30 volt hookups, so that will be fine. I just want to have one, just in case.
Sorry folks wont be making this one . Weather looks bad and diesel is pricey and my cash flow flowed out already. Have a good one and let us know how it turns out. Wach out for trucks and standing water on I-84.
Next time out we should snow camp .

Jonathan, Snow camping ? hmm, now that IS an idea ! Since you won't be there I'll have to bring my own road flares and white gas, ha ! See you next time.
Stef, I hope your car retrival goes well ! take pics ! Mind if we borrow your coffee maker too ?
Don, That is quite a drive from Yreka. Keep up the good work on the Bambi !
Well I haven't heard anyone mention dessert ? I can bring something along. I'm not a baker so mine won't be as good as Sevens cake. I'll bring a canopy, heater and tarps too.
I talked with a fellow Wed. evening. He is working on a mid 70's AS. His name is Adam. He said he might be able to come and visit during the the day Saturday. He has his AS gutted at the moment. He is looking for some advice on how to best proceed with his project.
I'll be up after work, not quite sure when that is going to be, in the evening sometime. See Y'all tomorrow night !
I thought about you guys as I cruised on past I wish we'd had time to stop, but this little trip turned out to be just enough work for one weekend. I'm glad we're home and can rest now. I did not sleep a wink Friday night knowing I was going to get my old car back on Saturday.
On Saturday the owner tried to take it for a drive to clean it up, only to leave it dead on the side of the road. By the time we got there his Dad was trying to help by pouring gasoline directly into the carburator and asking if I knew anything about carbs. Yeah, I know enough not to try and start them like THAT! I convinced them to help push it up on the trailer, handed over my money for the title, and brought it home. It might not run, but it's all mine!
Here's a picture of it on the trailer behind our mighty van in Goldendale, WA. And another of me in the driver's seat back home in the garage

That mustang looks right at home with a big grin behind the steering wheel! Good for you. It's neat that you were able to track it down and bring it back, not many people are that fortunate. Look forward to seeing more pics of your baby when you get it back up to snuff.

Chris....give me the burger....you want to give me the burger.....give it to me or you will be vaporized and sent back to our planet....burrrrrrrgerrrrrrrrr.
We had a great time at the rally and will be on the look out for a rally site up here for the spring. Roads were clear, lots of sunshine, and beautiful vistas on the journey home.
For those of you who feared the cold this weekend....we were quite warm under the big top with all the hot air, heaters, and firedancers. Thanks Janet and Gary for bringing your stuff which made us all so comfortable. The burgers were amazing, even the dogs thought so.

HAHAHA !! That's funny ! Great post and great pic.
Glad you had good weather on your drive home. It rained really hard down by Hood River and Cascade Locks.

I think Gracie (on right) is related to your dog, or from the same planet at least! Smokie is an Earth dog.

The pooch referenced in post #65 is actually Wascobobs hound dog. He is a big loveable yellow lab. They do look related don't they ! I wonder if they might be from the same planet.......hmmmmm.
A good time was had by all at the Deschutes Dash Rally. I was really concerned about the weather but, as it turned out we actually had some sunshine on Saturday ! I used a little over 4 gals of propane keeping the trailer and water warm. Not too bad. It was chilly and a bit damp at times but nothing we couldn't handle. It was nice to get out again. I enjoyed the company of all who attended. Nothing like just hanging out for the weekend and shooting the bull .
Kudos to Adam (afinpdx) who drove up for the afternoon on Saturday without his 1974 Overlander ( in progress ) to say hello and get some ideas on his project.
Gary the burgers were great ! Thanks to everyone who contributed to the feast on Saturday night. I had too much to eat . It was all sooo yummy.
I am thinking that this would be a great place to have a much bigger rally in the summer. I took some pictures of the area and party central. You can see them here - Deschutes Dash Rally
