Larry called down to the Hocking Hills State Park and it is booked...FULL! So we have been looking for alternative plans. We checked on 2 small private campgrounds in the Hocking area and have found that they still have a few sites left reservable, but we would need to jump on it pretty fast.

We have called and found out that we still have a chance to secure spots at Alum Creek State Park and Delaware State Park.
Larry and I have never been to Alum Creek and we are kind of leaning toward a state park. They have enough sites available for a group. Sites close together would not be difficult.
Has anyone tried that park?

Please chime in here and let's make reservations!!

Alum Creek looks like a nice place. Has anyone ever been camping there?
Everyone must have been out camping today...nobody is jumping in here. LOL

June and I have driven through Deleware, if not mistaken, it is HUGE! We managed to get lost.
Alum Creek sounds great! Our vote is for Alum Creek.

Hi All!
Larry called down to Alum Creek and talked to the nice folks about reserving spots. He found out that they have many spots to chose from and has made them aware of our group coming on the weekend of Oct. 20-21. The persons that he talked to said that we should just show up that weekend now that they have made note that we are bring a group of Air Streamers, and let them know that we need the sites together. They say that will save us the $8 fee for setting up reservations. Since it is NOT site specific reservations anyways, they are on a first come first serve basis, finding sites together should not be a problem. If you want to get more details from Larry you can PM us.

So we have those dates ON our calendar..in fact we may add Thurs. if we can. We'll see as the time approaches.

I'm bummed. Used to live in Geauga County, but now in Arizona. Picking up a 1963 Flying Cloud for restoration next week. Wish I could be with you all, but until then.

We have had quite a time getting Ohioans to join us in get togethers! We hope that more will see this thread and come and join us. Wouldn't that be great??

The Swiss Festival National Rally in Sugarcreek Ohio was last weekend!

Hello - We gave up trying to find other Active Airstream owners last year so it was a pleasant surprise to find this thread. Unfortunately we will be camping at Delaware State Park on the weekend of Oct 20 – 22 but would like to drop in and visit you folks at Alum Creek.

We will also be at a Hocking Hills rally the weekend of Oct 12 -15. If anyone would like to stop in and visit we will be on site 137.

We need tires Bad! I am going to try to see if we can swing tires within the next week or so. Maybe we can make it. I'll keep everyone posted.
