I'm going to try to make it, but I have to:
- Re-install rear belly pan.
- Inspect axle, bearings, tires
- build umbilacle line an verify lighting
- Transfer title / get plates
- Purchase insurance
Hmm, shouldn't be a problem!
If the trailer isn't ready, I'll drive down Saturday.
Hey Dan, I can help with the umbilical line and the belly pan on Sat. if you need (I was an electrician in a previous life). If you have to, rig the belly pan up enough to get there, I can help with the final installing of that as well, just bring some rivets Hope to see ya there! --dave
Lunch Saturday sounds great! We'll bring something to share...I can volunteer my wife's macaroni salad but I'll also wait to hear of anything else that's needed.
Lookin' forward to meeting you all!

Why don't we all just bring along a main dish or something to cook on an open fire, and a side dish to share?
When we were at Clare-Mar there were big signs posted that said there was to be no outside wood brought in unless it was inspected. We have some oak wood here that we will bring along. Anybody else planning to bring some into the park beware that it has to be inspected.

Hey all, I've got a really big smoker and a bunch of hickory wood that I can bring for the picnic if anyone likes BBQ. Although, it would require a volunteer to help babysit the ribs, rump roast, chicken, or whatever else on Sat. It usually takes me 6-7 hours to smoke a good BBQ. I can bring the smoker provided the weather is good and someone can help me unload it (it's a party sized hillbilly concoction thing, but makes GREAT BBQ!). Let me know if ya'll are interested. I don't want to bring it unless we're gonna use it! --dave
It sounds like it would be a great thing for a very large group. Maybe we can plan a bigger get together where you will have lots of help to use that thing. So far I only see 4 of us getting to Clare-Mar for the festivities. Larry and I called to make our reservations for next weekend. We are on lot #591 and Dave is on #590.

we would like to go to east harbor park in october. this is our first airstream. a 1966 safari twin. it's a cutie. let us know more about east harbor and if many plan on attending that. we would love the other outing but as bob is a truck driver, his weekends are questionable. hard to plan in advance. also are any of these parks pet friendly? we have 2 that would be with us. large but loveable.

Pot luck sounds the best , will bring teryaki chicken on skewers and grill or the hillbilly smoker if it arrives and help babysit the procedings as needed.I am really looking forward to this weekend. I have wood to bring , I guess they are inspecting for the emerald ash borer , this is older seasoned wood , not really sure of species but planned on brining enough for campfires.

We will be glad to meet you. I am sure that we will have lots of left overs. Haven't been to a camping potluck yet where we ran out of good things to eat!! See you there!

Hopefully we can find a camp site that is centrally located in Ohio so that a whole bunch of Ohioans can get there! Ohio has lots of beautiful state parks that are centrally located. We will try to come up with some good suggestions for our planning meeting at Clare-Mar this weekend. Chime in with some ideas of parks here in Ohio's heart land. Mohican was a good idea. I like Hocking Hills, but that is a little further south and east.

New to the Forum - 4 months - and new to Airstream - 2 months. Wondered why I'd never seen anything about a get together in OH - it is the home of Airstream after all and it is the 75th anniversary of the company.
SAD - Kicking myself for not putting new rubber on the unit - so this year it can't be towed a long distance. She's parked in a "permanent campground" until the basics are done.
A campground to maybe think about for the future is Deer Creek near Columbus. Great sites and facilities - including courts that could be reserved for a group.
