ALso, There is one of the best B-B-Q places in the state in 29Palms. If we want to dine out.

I would like to have a trailer tour as the kick off to Happy hour. We tour the rigs and then hit the M-Ball

Also I promise the business meeting will be less than 90 seconds.

Okay folks. we need o discuss and decide.
On Saturday I think we should have the pot luck for lunch, then the happy hour (the food will keep the crazies from blowing chunks), then a druken trailer tour, then more happy hour, then the Saturday Night Dinner w/dancing and music.

Does anyone want to go to Giant Rock?

One more question....how big are the back ins and pull thrus?

I just called the resort to make reservations and talked to Leslie. She told me that the sites are reserved for the group and all we need to do is show up and pay when we get here. Has something changed? I would like to know that I have a spot when I get to 29 Palms.

FYI 29 Palms

Hi All,

Here's some info for you:
  1. Members will be paying for their own stay the last day in the office.
  2. On Saturday, there is a dinner in the Clubhouse open to all campers..you can buy tickets there.(around $10)
  3. Free entertainment and dancing there also.
Lots of Activities around the area:
  1. A hiking trail - Oasis of Murah 1 1/2mile folks might like..
  2. Bring your golf clubs, there's a 9 hole golf course, called the Roadrunner Dunes: 1 (760) 367-5770
  3. Joshua Tree Nat'l Park/Visitor Center
  4. Murals in city of 29 Palms to look at..
  5. A shooting range 10 -15 minutes away
Please Bring:
A table or two, and your own plates/silverware for setting up stuff (like our own happy hour

Tentative Plan for Our Big Eating Fest: We can have the clubhouse on Sunday for a brunch..bring your dish to share..(also your own plates, cups, siverware)

There'll be a handout map for the sites when you arrive so you can go find your spot

I like Timemachines plan. I also wanna go to Giant Rock. Yes John you can fit into a back up spot.

Codybear the wonder Airstreamer(and new Rivet Master) will also post other places and things to do.

AZ, You got a spot. No doubt about it.

I have the space numbers and will post who's where as we get closer. I am doing this so I can put people with long rigs and Brand new/first timers in the pull throughs. Yes I know how we all like to get a Cocktail and watch a virgin try to back into a space for the first time. Its always great entertainment to watch as it reminds us of ourselves.

Its critical that you post ASAP on the list so if our spaces fill up I can get more.

Anybody interested in a Golf tournement? There's a course on premises.
Proposed rules are: Cheat and don't keep score.

Just signed up. Did I hear something about Margarita Ball tasting? I enjoyed sampling the varieties at Lake San Antonio...

I used to play alot of golf, but have not touched a club in many years. My woods are so old that they are made with wood.

Some years we've had over 100!..those were the days when these parens w/cars, loaded w/kids(babies to teens) would drop them off at the corner, and pick them up after a couple of hours!..but we somehow never ran out.

Used to crack me up when dads and moms would bring the costumed babies and tots strolling up to our front door..not only did the little ones have pillow cases and bags for the treats, but the parents had their own waiting for the treats too

Golf scoring made easy,

Every time you hit the ball that is a stroke. Add up all your strokes and you have a score. The lowest score wins.

Variations,

Some players in order to keep their score down use such tried and true methods as the "Foot Wedge" i.e. kicking the ball when no one is looking. The "Bunker toss" You are behind something so when no one is looking you throw your ball. "Creative Math", An example would be actually using 6 strokes but writing 4 on your score card. These are all illegal and frowned upon.

So why take the game that seriously? Try the Milomethod. Cheat, Drink, Lie and don't bother keeping score. And have agood time.

Have you noticed that many golf courses offer pencils with erasers??? Creative scoring is everywhere! It is amazing how many strokes are lost and forgotten when deep in the rough.
It's tough to count in there.
