Did you bring this rain with with you? . We need a sunny weather intervention by Vinnie!!!! It's raining here at Bodega Bay, as well....better than the gusty winds we had last night.
Seeya on Friday...

We'd like to avoid rush hour in Santa Rosa and our schedule won't let us leave early enough on Friday to miss it.
Would it help to take 116 off of 101 south of Santa Rosa but then cut north up to River Road before the hills, say in Forestville? Mirabel Rd looks good on the map. Or would that just put us on a bunch of small roads that would slow us down as much as Santa Rosa rush hour?
Sigh. It looks like we'll be late for Happy Hour. Don't drink all the umbrellas before we get there. Or drink the umbrellas and save us some of the liquid.

You can get off 101 at the 116 exit, take 116 west and then turn north on Stony Point Road. There is a grade up 101 out of Petaluma north, which you can avoid by taking the Penngrove Old Redwood Highway exit just north of Petaluma, then go west over the freeway and turn right on Stony Point road. This is pretty flat the whole way, becomes Marlow Road in Santa Rosa. When you get to fwy 12, get on going west, and then take the next exit (right) at Fulton road and head north. Fulton will intersect with River road, you go left on River road. There is a nasty bit on 101 in Rohnert Park, between Petaluma and Santa Rosa, where they're rebuilding the freeway, and it wouldn't be much fun towing a trailer- it's narrow. Avoid Forestville or Mirabel road with a trailer.
On Stony Point a couple of miles out of Petaluma, you can get a burger at the Washoe House, a vintage 1859, extremely local tavern. Washoe House - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since you are heading north, I wouldn't worry about Santa Rosa's rush hour. You do NOT want to tow along 116, which is narrow, windy, and lotsa redwoods marking the road edge. Just kick back, drive the 101 to River Road....once you get on River Road, the only "rush hour" you might encounter is the one in downtown Guerneville
With the group, "Happy Hour" is a relative term....we all forget about time, and continue with the happy until all the Airstreams have arrived and settled in!
Cheers, Dee

It was pouring rain this morning at Sea Ranch, and we wondered how you guys already at Casini were doing down- if you had rain too. Blue skies over the ocean now and we're willing it to be clear and warm over the weekend.

Don't I know this one.
Webspinner, with any luck you'll show up late, everyone will be in your site drinking wine, beer, other concoction and the fire will be stoked. Ask Vinnie how I know this.

I get lost on The Yellow Brick Road. KISS.....Keep It Simple St.... and just sick to 101 to River Rd. We went that way Tues. afternoon ....it was busy with traffic and one truck roll-over but arrived relaxed. Roll with it. Retireeeees last longer with patience.

Besides, Lynn and I here today it's Dan, Cam and Margo and Jane (don't know their forum handle). They were at Jackson Rancheria last Fall. Sunny most of today but a cold breeze. If it's gonna be warm this weekend it better git crack'n. But the clouds are becoming fewer.

need a little dry ice [/QUOTE]
Will the dry ice keep things for a longer period of time? vs regular block ice? And if so how much longer on average.

Semi Official Last & Final Map (sort of..)
So here is the latest and last version of the site map, based on what I can manage to keep track of.. If you have different site, we'll enjoy learning about it Friday, when we arrive and set up Margarita Ball for cocktails at 5...
It is truly awe-inspiring to watch the famous Pot-Luck dinner struggle to avoid actually getting "Organized".. It is part of what makes this event special.. There are (almost..) no rules.. Cocktails and snacks Friday at 5, Dinner Saturday at 6.. Whew...
>> And for those who asked about Route 116, etc, and other narrow pathways through the woods.. You're on your own if you deviate from River Road.. It is straight, wide and flat.. The other roads, to varying degrees, are NOT! We'll enjoy the stories either way....
