well. I may be out in the clouds somewhere, at least I'm NOT in the "pack your crap" area.
Nice job Jeff, tell it like it is.....
Vinnie, you really should do meatloaf this time. I'm talking great comfort food, especially if it's a little chilly outside. whoa, what did I swerve into --- or you could do some chili. nope, that wouldn't work for those in the "F" area, AKA "crap sites"

Google Maps says the route via US 101 has toll roads. Can anyone confirm?

Anything for a buck these days. No tolls that I know of. The only toll roads that I've been on were east of the Mississippi. However the Bay Area Bridges have raised their tolls. There are routes around those. Jeff knows the way to avoid them.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a toll road (southbound direction).

That's exactly what I do whenever I head north on 101. That said, after last year's Casini Ranch gathering I came back across the Golden Gate due to high winds on the Richmond - San Rafael Bridge.

This reminds me of the time in the 60s. I lived in the East Bay and had a meeting in 'The City'. After my meeting I entered the 5th(?) Street ramp onto the Bay Bridge. I was at the bottom of the ramp and traffic was at a standstill. After a few minutes and nothing was moving so I elected to back up a few feet and headed to the GG then over the Richmond Bridge. No tolls that way but took me over an hour and a half to get home. It was a good hunch because another fellow at my meeting heading to Berkeley spent 3 hours on the bridge. A tanker had flipped on the lower deck of that bridge. I was in the Bay Area when the Richmond San Rafael Bridge was built. Our family used to travel to Marin Co via car ferry.

Take whatever site you want. No one will be upset. The campground is huge. Plenty of room. Glad you can make it. See you in April!

You won't upset anyone in this group. We welcome newcomers. If you see a vacant site that you like call Casini and reserve it. Look forward to meeting you.
