Wish we were going, but decided to try later in the month at a different locale. Just don't want to sit through another rainy trip in Casini. (I melt )

Hope it pans out and you don't get rained on again. Your all sure to have fun either way. Looking forward to seeing posted pics afterwards.

With all the rain we have had in March, April has GOT to be dry!!! Besides, Vinnie promised no rain for this rally....

It's snowing here. Our grandaughter wants to bring up hubby and baby up sometime to experience being IN a snowfall. She asked to come up today for the weekend but, Lynn, and I have to go to a memorial tomorrow. So we planned for them to come up the weekend after Casini. She's now pray'n for snow then........HEEELP!

Clear and warm in Yuma.

Its nice to know that the drought is over in CA.

Last year we leaked, and took the queen mary in for some skylight work and A/C work. Now if we could just find our cover for # 1 A/C unit all will be well. We need a good test of the leak repair, maybe Casini will provide?

Only, I hate to set up in the rain.

regards weather watchers,

Ken and Shanah

Bringing Food, Booze and Firewood

Hi Everyone,

Just catching up on the long long forum thread... and we're anticipating another fun event.

I think it was Vinnie that asked "Who's bringing what???? Sooo...our plan is...

Friday - Cocktails.
Stir fried chicken wings (chinese style)
Wine - "Vodka Tonic" ingredients

Potluck.
Teriyaki Chicken - will be making a BIG batch (boneless)
Several bottles wine.

Additional Items.
Folding table for potluck.
4-5 pieces of firewood for community fire.
Led lights for my tutu??

We're not sure about the "sides" so if we need to "add" to my list please do not hesitate to ask.

Update.
We just put new "shoes" on our coach. We had a GYM blow last year and another tire with a large "bubble" on tread. OEM Tires had only 15-20K (less than 3 years). I upgraded the wheels from 15" to 16" and selected BFG Commerical T/A's. LRD 225/75. New aluminum wheels 7 spokes 3100 lb rating.

Ted and Marion.

P.S. For Sale:
4 - OEM 15" Aluminum wheels.
1- OEM 15" steel wheel with GYM (used less than 250 miles)
You guys get first opportunity... I can bring to Rally event
I have

Moymews to be commended!

I just wanted to weigh in and congratulate the Moymews for their deep understanding of the Concept of Casini...

Bringing lots of food and drinks for Friday, Lots of teriyaki Chicken and "Bottles" of wine for Saturday, and still worried about additional "sides"?? Plus firewood, tables and a lighted Tutu? That is superior planning!

Since people are getting serious about planning for food, let me throw in a couple reminders..

1. Friday is cocktails and finger/snack food... There will be some Communal Margarita's and probably lots of bottles of wine, plus the option to bring your own favorite beverages..
2. Saturday dinner will be a group of 60+, but you need not (except for Vinnie..) plan to bring enough to feed everyone! 30+ dishes for 60 is really more than our hand-held plates can support.. We do tend to have left-over desserts, as some of the group may inadvertantly fill up trying to eat the above-mentioned 30 items after a pre-dinner libation..
3. Bringing an extra folding table is good for assisting with serving. There are large heavy picnic tables to eat dinner at, but we often have more food than we can support on the serving tables.
4. Tablecloths are optional, but plates and silver/utensils should be part of your own preparation, as we don't have paper plates and plastic forks to go around
5. Folding chairs for sitting around after dinner by the fire(s) are a good idea as well. Firewood or propane fire pits are also good idea...

For the Whale watching crowd, I did see that whale watching trips do go out from Bodega Bay... You could call 707.875.2323 for information or reservations.. Bodega Bay is a drive of at least 30 to 40 minutes, but reachable...

REMINDER: IF YOU HAVE A SPACE IN FULL HOOKUP AREA, THERE ARE 3 FOLKS LOOKING TO FIND SUCH A SPACE. LET ME KNOW BEFORE CALLING CASINI TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION!!!

Acting Reservation Coordinator...

Thanks for the details, it helps to know what to bring, obviously. I thought that if people wanted to whale watch and not go to Bodega Bay and get on a boat, we could make a little trip to Goat Rock Beach, just south of the Russian River and maybe 10-15 minutes from Cassini. I saw 10 whales the other day from the bluff here, if they're running we could easily see them from the beach. Bring frisbees, footballs and binocs...

Driving on the River Road today I could see the beach at Cassini, the river is up from all the rain, running fast and muddy, but only about half way up the Cassini beach.

Think sun.

Peter
