It'd be a hit in the Emerald Triangle, too.

So is that a Rans S-7?? Did you build it or let someone else have the fun? How much work to get it airworthy?? If you want to organize the first Norcal Airstream "Fly-In", I'm in.. In fact, I am organizing a Fly-In/Drive-In Rally for 1 (s0 far..) at Golden West Air Show and Fly-In in Marysville June 8-10.. The Condoluminum will be parked on flight line, and I am encouraging fellow Comanche or Airstream owners to join for a Saturday lunch, and possible cocktail hour...

I thought this is hilarious, given how obvious most "under cover" police cars are, it would be brilliant to disguise a swat team in a giant pig.

At one point, famously in the UK, a whole bunch of police vehicles were delivered to a UK police authority with license plates "P1G ###". They were not amused.

John;
yes it's a Rans S-7. That pic is of a sister ship taken at Sun-N-Fun when I was working the booth for the factory. My 7 needs to be covered and painted, already hung the 912 and have all instruments. I "did" the EAA Golden West Show for 3 years when I was a Rans dealer.Maybee I'll drive over there and pi$$ on your tires.lol
then we can have a few beers and a polish.
I've time in the 7 and took both my girls for their first ride with me in a Cub.I'm a conventional kinda guy.Got some Boeing 46 stick time also along with a little R-22 time.
retreating blade stall mean anything to you.? haha, see you and Dianne in a few weeks.I've got some video flying around rio vista, above the water and below the levee road at the same time.and a little wheel washing from the guy I was flying behind. good stuff..

That's funny, Zlee, someone in the motor vehicles department had a sense of humor. Or would it be Humour?

Hi,
I was released from Keck USC Hospital last Tuesday afternoon after cancer surgery Monday to remove two malignant tumors, one in my neck and a very large one at the base of my tongue (both on the left side). Unfortunately they had to remove ~50% of my tongue.... Fortunately I can still talk, but it is somewhat challenging to speak and be understood. After our meeting with the oncologist today we know that I will need radiation-therapy, chemo-therapy, speech-therapy, physical-therapy, etc., but what I REALLY need is some 'stream-therapy'. We have been looking forward to the rally but we figured this just wasn't going to happen with all of this medical stuff going on. HOWEVER... my oncologist is telling us that we should plan on attending the rally in April. So, we should be arriving on Friday and were planning on leaving Monday, but we may be able extend the trip for 2-3 additional nights (I will be off work for at least 6-10 weeks for treatment). Not sure if we will stay at Casini for the additional days, so recommendations on points south on our way back home would be appreciated.
See all of you soon!

Scott, so sorry but you are right, 'stream therapy' works. Lynn and I know. We'll tell our story sometime. Whatever your needs at Casini are we'll help and know that a number of aluminum clad camper folks will do whatever needed to make you enjoy the weekend.
Neil.

Well, guys, I'm gutted to have to say that I'm having to cancel. I have to be in New Orleans for work, which I'm excited about, but at the same time I'm bummed I won't be there. Hopefully I'll be able to make one of the other rallies in the area soon.
So, site 132, full hookups, is up for grabs, as of 12:30 MST!

Zlee,
That's disappointing to hear. We are going to New Orleans at the end of
April just in time for JazzFest and it is work related, so timing on that is great. If you have any suggestions for "must see" in New Orleans let us know.

To rally with pretty much the same group that's going to be at Casini try to make our Fall rally at Jackson (Ca,) Rancheria. It's a really nice RV park and a shorter drive for you.

I'd thought about that - have to check the dates, there's some music festivals going on I have to get to!
