cabin

Hi Julie and welcome...we stayed in a cabin two years ago... rustic,yes... it was brand new...still had sawdust in it!!!... there's a door, window, full bed sized platform and twin bunk type platform...
we'd brought an air mattress and had to cover the platform with a blanket as it was rough and we were afraid it would puncture the mattress... and there was a table of sorts attached to the wall... I don't think there were electric outlets??? no, I'm sure there weren't...
so yeah, like tent camping..we also had a small butane heater... it was the cabin right behind the restroom that I think may be north of the full hookups??? Rustic, but we had a grand time as the people are truely wonderful... it was our first rally... OH, and the food really good too!!!
Ok, see you there!! gail, don and gracie the dog

Here's one for the books: this morning while we were having our morning coffee and enjoying the view of the river from our Airstream window, a guy flying a weird parasail contraption- something like an ultra light- buzzes past us along the river. Well, he flew right into the power lines and took them out! Although by some miracle he wasn't electrocuted, the entire Casini Ranch Campground is now without electricity indefinitely. Glad it happened today and not during the rally!

I know, isn't that weird? We are fine, though, since our batteries are all charged up! Another lovely, warm day at Casini! The only thing I'll miss is my coffee maker tomorrow morning. I drove in to Duncan Mills to get some instant and the whole town is without power.

Yes, I have taken some pics which I will have to post when I get home. No Wi Fi and only one bar on my Verizon service. It actually took me three tries to send my last post! too bad I didn't get a video of the guy who took out the power lines!

Wow, I'm glad the dude who flew into the power lines is okay, but i suspect he used the words Andrea used when I told her about his: Either he said this to his buddies, or thought this as he flew the passby: Hey, WATCH THIS!

Anytime a guy says this, call for an ambulance.

Here are some pictures from our trip to Casini Ranch this weekend. What a great campground! I can hardly wait until April.
