Time is winding down! Hope you all have your silver bullets ready to go. Uwe, did you finish that bathroom yet? I am planning on hitching up on Saturday and driving to Paso Robles. Then the short drive to PCV on Sunday, where I leave my trailer for my brother to vacation in for the week. Then I am coming back down early on Friday to take over the trailer and start the rally! So I should be in my trailer by noon on Friday and ready to PARTY! I will be serving Margaritas all day if anybody wants to stop by for an early happy hour.

We wait half a year for the rally and now it's here. The October weather has been fantastic around here. I will get on-site weather reports from my brother so I will let you know what to expect. Hopefully, clear days and cool nights are on the order.

I feel bad that there are people that wanted to come but PCV is all full for the weekend. Next time I will get twenty spots or more for sure. Where are we headed for our spring rally? I would like to return to Casini because they treated us so well, we can get as many sites as needed and it was a fantastic time. But who knows. Think about it and we will discuss around the fire.

Again, bring bikes if you have them. It's bike paradise there.

John- I am so glad that Dianne is making her BEAUTIFUL green salad again. Like Ms. Tinsel's cornbread, those green salads stick in my mind all year. Obviously, the Saturday night dinners are my very favorite part of the whole rally. Go figure.

I am nowhere near ready....hacking up saw dust as we speak. If I make it, then I will be in a "hard sided tent" sleeping on the floor of my trailer, I guess. Will see how far I get. I have been doing late nights for weeks now.
I will be needing many Margaritas once I get there. Will bring bikes as well.
Are there any children attending? I've got 8 grand kids of varying ages, could bring a couple of them.

Uwe, our youngest son Collin (5), will be with us. I think he loves airstreams more than us! He is very self entertaining, but would love to share some roasted marshmallows, and build some sandcastles with some other youngsters. Jeff

Colin is a great kid. My daughter, Emily (3) still talks about her camping friend Colin when we look at the photos of the spring rally.

I will second that! Colin is so cool. I loved watching him ride his bike thru the huge mud puddles at Casini Ranch for hours on end. There was not one clean patch of cloth when he was done! And he is going to have so much fun at Pismo, with the beach and pool. Can't wait to see you all.

Tim, I remember the reason you couldn't make it to Pismo was your wife was expecting to deliver around October. I really hope everything is going great with your wife and hope to see your whole clan at the spring rally. I am getting really excited now. The trailer comes out of storage on Saturday, then I really, really get excited!

Silversurfer- OF COURSE you may crash the rally. As a matter of fact, I insist that you come for the highlight of every NorCal Rally- Saturday night's potluck dinner. We always have a few crashers at every rally. So come for the afternoon and stay for dinner. Really hope you can make it. You can find us where all the shiny Aluminum is blinding you (first loop to the right of the entrance).

We have another dish for the potluck. Would you look at this menu? It's going to be an awesome dinner!

Oh now, come on big fella, pace yourself. Ya don't want to burn out a bearing salivating about it. That chow table is starting to groan with all them great dishes that will set the evening. I leave today for Paso Robles, then tomorrow into Pismo. Hope to meet up with excella then I am driving back sans trailer. I am now officially starting my rally week! Oh boy! I hope your trailers are all prepped and ready to go. See you all down there.

Hi Big Dee and the group,

We just got back from picking up the Airstream to bring home for cleaning and loading prior to leaving on Tuesday..........I can hardly wait!!!!!!! We are stopping off at Los Banos (Toscanos) on Wednesday, so we plan to stay at San Luis State Recreation Area on Tuesday night and (maybe) Wednesday night, then we will be arriving at PCV on Thursday.

Sooooooo....this is my check-in....maybe my last until arriving at PCV. Once there, I think there is free WiFi, and I will tease the rest of you from there

Hey You All-

Let me tell you how AWESOME it was in Pismo last weekend! The weather was fantastic! Sunny with no fog and a little breeze. Blue, very blue sky and cool nights. Very relaxing there. It was extremely hard to stay only one night and was VERY jealous of excella getting to stay for 2 weeks. Excella has THE BEST site in the park. Wait til you see it. It's unbelieveable.

Our sites are great. My site is #59. They are big with room for 2 cars and a trailer. There is a nice grass strip behind the sites that will serve as a great common area. The bathroom is right there for us with a strong WIFI signal (free). The playground is also close. These are premium sites and WE ALL should thank excella for pulling his connections to get us these sites. We are going to have an aweswome rally, guaranteed! Thanks, excella!

I am jealous of those that will be arriving during the week. Dee and anybody else with WIFI, please check in and let us know how everything is.

The drive down was super fun as I stopped for a night at Lake San Antonio. It was great. Few people, had the loop to myself. Very beautiful Calif. oak country and pitch black at night. Definitely a future rally spot for us.

Hey all - just returned from a wonderful 6 weeks traveling through the US and Canada with the Bambi...and isn't this rally a perfect way to finish it all off! We're looking forward to it. It's going to be a very close call for me. I am making good progress, but my trailer is still far from being roadworthy. It still has no plumbing, no LP system, no bed, no doors for the cabinets etc. But the refrigerator works!
