Thanks, Dan!!! You originally said you would give PCV the info on who is staying extra days....is that still the case? btw...I think your mom has the right idea!
Like you, I am ready for summer!!! We are headed for a 5-day trip to Yosemite this week-end (staying in housekeeping units right on the river...shhhhh....don't tell my AS!), and we are REALLY hoping for nice weather! The waterfalls ought to be nice and full...
Excella has his special spot already reserved so we now have another open slot. Who wants slot #2? Just speak up and it's yours. This will be a fantastic weekend so don't miss out, join us.
Dee, I will inform PCV of the various extra dates. I will collect for Saturady night plus any extra nights from everyone after arrival. I then turn in one check to PCV for the whole group. Yosemite sounds real nice right about now. Have a great time.
No one has claimed the last remaining spot. If you're on the fence about joining us, remember the NorCal Rally motto, there are no newbies at NorCal rallies, just old, dear friends whom haven't met yet! Please join us for what will be a spatacular weekend.

It's almost June and we're still dealing with rain. Man, I am ready to run East for some good weather. Truck gets serviced Friday, trailer goes in to service this Saturday, then I should be ready to go for the summer cross-country trip. My first stop is Placerville KOA for Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, if anybody wants to meet-up. Could be a spot for a future rally. Anybody interested in a last minute weekend in gold country?
Anybody going to be in Idaho this August? Because I have an extra campsite reserved at a beautiful state park in Idaho, August 10-15, if anybody is interested. It's on Lake Coeur d’Alene with full hook-ups. Let me know if you might be in the area. It would be fun to meet-up.
Yosemite was absolutely beautiful....full waterfalls, warm days.... Every night, we kept an eye on the river levels due to the snowmelt. Then, on Sunday night, the clouds rolled in, and it started to rain....and rain....all night long! The river overflowed, flooding many of the Housekeeping/tent cabins where we were staying. We had planned to stay through Tuesday, but we packed up and left early Monday morning.....good thing, since the valley was one big lake and many of the roads had water flowing over the tops. It was an interesting experience, seeing Yosemite in a way I had never seen it before...we hung around and took a few pictures on the way out. I had one Airstream (28' Excella, maybe?) sighting while there...I am sure the owner(s) were among those evacuated, and I was glad we were in the GMC Yukon rather than the VW Beetle!
Like you, as I sit hear and listen to the rain coming down outside, I am wondering when spring is going to arrive.... I will soon be complaining about the heat if the weather demons are correct about the temps this week-end (90 degrees!!!)
Wow Dee, you were lucky you didn't get stranded as I heard many campers were before they closed the park. Sounds like you got out just in time. Lucky the stream channels were cleared out by that last flood disaster a few years ago. Could have been worse for everyone. The news says there could be more flooding this weekend throughout the Sierra and Cascades. The dams are overflowing.
Let's pray for that sunny weekend and may summer begin soon.

I will settle for a return to SPRING!!! Let's just hope that our rally week-end is nice.... I must say that it is hard to beat the California coast in the fall!

Hey Big Dee!
Placerville sounds like a great kick off to my summer travel adventures (yet undetermined). I'm putting it on my calendar. Maybe we can convince a couple of others to join us for a mini-rally.

That might be something I could do too. I was just there in 'Hangtown" last month for a school trip to Coloma Gold mines. Lots of antique stores and history. Only a couple of hours away. My first rally was Casini a couple of months ago. I was there only an hour on a guest pass, but the folks I met were as friendly as if I had known them years! I was the only motorhome. Comments I heard were like my MH is just a trailer with a motor in front. Yes, and I like not having to hitch up too! KOA is a good choice as I've been to numerous. They are very clean and well organized. I'd like to make it! Hope to see you.
Sounds great! The Placerville KOA looks nice from the pics. I can't wait to get on the road, this will be a perfect start to the trip. Anybody else want to join us for a last minute get-together? It will be fun.

Glad to report Lotek has requested and received slot #2. So that's another SoCal member joining us. Sweet! All rally sites are now taken but anybody can still call PCV directly for their own reservation and join us.
Still waiting on deposits from caadoptees and Fatt Ratt. Come on guys, I am leaving for the summer in three weeks and would like to have all the deposits squared away before then.
Speaking of my summer trip, anybody want to join Cam, Astrodokk and I for a weekend in Gold Country? We are heading for the Placerville KOA for June 18 & 19. Join us for a mini-rally! Come at the last minute if you can, spaces should not be a problem.
I have received Lotek's deposit. Now that leaves two deposits to go. So close.
I am outta of here in about two weeks. Will be gone for the entire summer for I am heading to Maine. But first stop is the Placerville KOA. Will be there on Saturday the 18th and Sunday. Looks like a couple of us are going to get together if anybody else wants to join us at the last minute. Everybody's invited.
Sorry we won't be able to join all of you at Pismo Beach. Our schedule just won't let us go. We are going to Burney Falls and Hat Creek over the 4th with friends. We always look forward to another adventure in our baby. Hope everyone is well and look forward to hooking up again. Have Fun T&Y
In the mail today were two deposits! Now that makes everyone. Ray's deposit was sent May 19th and I got it today June 3rd. Now that's what you call real SNAIL mail! Thanks everyone for getting the deposits in. Now I can relax on my trip.
