Spider is done. Won't send photos, as I prefer to build your expectations. That way, the disappointment will be that much greater. At the very least, it will burn.

Won't be departing here until about 5:00, but we're only about 100 miles away. See you all soon.

Steven

It was a hoot, Ingrid. Ya shoulda been there! It rained during the potluck but it didn't dampen any spirits. Here is a link to 120 photos.

Spiders everywhere, and deer, and rain, and fog, and..

We're back, and what a great time we had! The rain last night was great (Jack said it was like sleeping in a pinball machine - ping, ping, pop, pow, ping), and the eerie fog this morning was a perfect way to end the rally and usher in Halloween week. It was great to see everyone and their beautiful trailers. We can't wait for the next one.

Steve, as always, your pictures are spooktacular! Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice photos, Meredith. After last night's festivities, it was a little foggy inside the Airstream too! Nice seeing you and Jack and the Munchkins.

Steve~and Meredith! Thanks so much for taking and posting those terrific photos! We were so sorry that we couldn't make the rally and it looks like our regrets were for good reason. Lots of familiar folks--and trailers--that we would have loved to have seen again, and many new ones we regretted not meeting. Love, love, all the Halloween decor, especially the silver pumpkin. And that autumnal glow on Steve and Jan's trailer. And that autumnal glow on Steve and Jan!
Looking forward to the next rally,
Janet and Terry

waah

That potluck looks like one of those parties where everyone ends up packed into the kitchen and having an even better time. Who did the pumpkin? That should go to Airstream.com with copyright protection to the creator!

I can console myself in the fact that there was indeed no way we could make it with everything going on around here, and I did see Bruce and we got started on the axle installation. Ran into a smallish problem, which I won't go into here.

What was that demonstration at the beginning? What did I miss?

Thanks everybody!

We had a fantastic time, and our friend Robert couldn't stop talking about how nice everybody was. Will post some photos after work today.

Doorgunner gave us an demonstration on how to use specialized tools used in aluminum fabrication. The demo was interuppted by a passing tarantula that everbody in camp came to see. Oh, and DG drilled a rivet hole in a piece of aluminum, and before he could place the rivet, a bird in the tree over his head crapped and filled the hole! My wife Jan did the pumpkin.

Holy Tarantula Batman!

Holy Tarantula Batman! I guess those little critters heard that we were coming, because they must’ve been hiding in fear! It was rather thoughtful of us to leave them alone during their mating hiatus a few weeks ago, hmm? The lone straggler was photographed adnauseam, while brave Mr. Buttercup (Tim) made the children and ladies squeal by allowing the frightened arachnid to craw-w-w-wl up his arm.

There were additional reported sightings of wild pigs, raccoons, turkeys, deer and loose-boweled birds. And the wildlife was not limited to native creatures either! Friday evening, Linda Lu and Tim (DG) hosted the 2nd Annual NorCal Rally Wine Tasting Event under a spectacular harvest moon. They poured some extremely tasty reds, which the Michael David Winery generously donated. Thanks guys!

Despite a good dousing of rain on Saturday evening, we had an ample feast beneath Doorgunners awning and strategically placed “sunbrellas”, with lots of delicious food and lots of nice people!

When the rain stopped we made a large bonfire (thanks Jeff!) and proceeded to sacrifice the Tarantula effigies and dance the Tarantella. What a magical evening!

Between seeing old friends and making new ones, watching the riveting demo, weighing the tongues, seeing the fantastic pumpkin carving by Jan and touring of all the great trailers, the weekend flew by much too quickly.

Missed all of you who couldn't make it! Mark and I are looking forward to seeing all of you at the next rally!
Cheers!

The kids are disappointed that we had to miss the rally. Do you think the bird was well intentioned? I do.

I hope to see you all soon...
