World Series Fans??
Anyone gonna have some sort of link to the world series? Seems as slowuff and I are on opposite sides on this one!
Also today I was able to acquire a scale capable of checking tongue weight up to 1200 lbs. If anyone is interested I would be happy to chuck it in the burb.
Also checked the 10 day forcast-looks perfect low 40's nite mid 70'd day.
Drive safe everyone!! See you there. DG

Just to keep things straight, DG, I'm a Giants fan. Since they sucked so bad this year, I'm secondly a National League fan, so go Rockies! The only time I root for the Red Sux is when they play the Yankees! Have a good time on the North Shore...wish we could join you, and do some kayaking. I think my hitch weight would exceed your scale, but it might be interesting to see what it shows.

The Tarantulas are on the move! I saw 3 of them crossing the road on the way home tonight and I counted 32 turkeys on the way home too. We had to stop the truck twice for turkeys crossing the road. As for deer, the bucks are in hot pursuit of the does, so their little deer minds are not thinking clearly. My neighbor crashed his car trying to avoid a buck chasing a doe.

We've been so worried about our SoCal family~Hope you're all ok and finding decent air to breathe! Meredith, isn't your sister at Sedgwick? Hope she's ok, and that the rest of you aren't suffering too much ash and smoke. Not enough respite after Zaca! Also hope you and the family can still get to LSA with all those great Halloween ideas.
Bummer that Bam et al ("et al": carousing miscreants) won't be with us, and I hope the fall rally isn't derailed! Sounds like much fun in beautiful country.
Looking forward to seeing everyone--mother nature permitting
J
And DG, please put us on your list for a tongue-weighing!

Thanks for the heads-up about the deer Steve!
We'll be bringing along a kayak too. Maybe go out for awhile Fri. eve. or Sat?

Loaded and Hooked Up...

Lynn and I are ready to go. We leave in the morning (Tues) for an overnighter with doorgunner. Then when LL joins us Wed. morning we all head for Pacheco Pass over to 101. Yes, Tim, I would like a tongue weigh in. When I was under the car a couple of weeks ago I saw a sign of potential excessive tongue weight. So for this trip I have re-distributed the weight in the coach. However, that may be for naught because, Lynn, wants to stop at WalMart on the way out of town. Tim, see you Tues afternoon. The rest of you as you arrive later in the week. SPIDERS ROCK...ies !!!

Hi Janet,

Yes, my sister is the director of the Reserve. She got the scary wake-up call Sunday morning that a fire was burning on the ranch. The fire started when high winds broke off a tree limb that then broke a power line. Burned about 700 acres of brush, but is now contained.

Kate has started moving her stuff back into her house and will surely sleep a little easier tonight. She has so much praise for the firefighters - those guys were amazing. From the ground crews to the helicopters - first class. Now we just have to hope Mother Nature cooperates so they can get a grip on those nasty fires burning down South.

Can't wait to see all the shiny trailers again. And, the kids are more than excited about the big spiders, turkeys and deer! We may bring our fishing gear and try to catch that fish that got away last year....

Thursday Campers

Question: Where do the arrivals for Thursday meet on the lakeshore? North, South or ? Which way do we go once inside the park?

miss luminati,

thursday arrivals have 2 choices. one is to find a site at redondo vista campground at the south shore and stay put for the entire weekend. option two is to camp with doorgunner lakeside at the north shore and relocate to redondo vista on friday.

to get to redondo vista campground (rally site), just follow the signs to south shore. once inside the gate just follow the signs to redondo vista campground, loops A, B, or C.... then its time to party!!!

Hey I resemble that remark!

I do hope all of our friends and family are okay in So. Cal
and that the weather turns soon to calm the fires.

Meanwhile have a great time at lake San Antonio.
I'll see you at the next rally...

Here's to you!

Sheesh! And I was worried if we were bringing enough clear liquids to drink! But please don't stomp on the tarantulas! I will offer my services to gently move/remove every one of the precious little creatures.
