So, perhaps we can add an activity to the already full calendar of events. I'm always willing to make a complete fool of myself. Anyone else?

Karin
ms luminati,

i would say this dance can only be performed after cosuming large quantities of patron. for the dancers and the audience's sake. i'm in.

Yes I did - they flick the hairs from their abdomen if put in a position to defend themselves.
And no I did not know that itching power was tarantula hairs.

I have been spending hours literally trying to identify the species encountered at LSA.

As sick as it sounds I REALLY am looking forward to this. I bought a tarantula puppet in Death Valley and a few of you may remember seeing it on our bed at Casini Ranch. I am fascinated by these creatures. I will offer my services as removal of spiders to anybody who need it there.

Si, but before you rush in with the Patron, seņor D Grande, let's investigate if there is a tatrantula elixer of equally damaging effectiveness, i.e. worm in Tequilla....tarantulla in ????

Seņora Luminati,

many consider tarantula a delicacy but i havent heard of one in the bottom of a bottle. ekks. ill stick with patron silver so i can see there is nothing in the bottle. but i will do the tarantula dance.

You can have all the Tarantula's that I find Buttercup!
Ever since I saw the movie Tarantula (starring Topper's Leo G Carroll), as a child in the movie theatre, I've had an aversion, albeit a morbid fascination, with these hairy creatures. Leo G's face melted in the horrorflick and the poor overgrown Tarantula, with glowing red eyeballs, met its demise through a vicious, firey onslaught. I cheered. Sorry.

LOL - I am there to help.
But did you know that they can live to 11 years old? Assuming that they aren't eaten alive by a turkey.

Whatever the libation, it will need a wide-mouth bottle.

Today's Fun Fact on Wild Turkeys

well i knew everyone was dying for another rally fun fact so here it is:

The male Wild Turkey provides no parental care. When the eggs hatch, the chicks follow the female. She feeds them for a few days, but they quickly learn to feed themselves. Several hens and their broods may join up into bands of more than 30 birds. Winter groups have been seen to exceed 200.

stay tuned for tomorrow's fun fact.

Sounds like another great rally underway. (How can you go wrong with Tin, Trantulas, Turkeys and Tequila?)

Question about boats, do they rent them up there?

I may take Karin up on the Trantual Dance, Jim hasn't been interested in taking ballroom dancing classes, this could be my big chance!

You bet, Leslie. The marina is on the southshore, not far from the rally site. Here's a link for rental information...
