Im Muenchen steht ein Hofbrau Haus, Eins Zwei Zuffe..
Ingrid-
Dianne will have the Margarita Ball with her at all times, and you are welcome to bring your favorite ingredient to go with our mix and salt supply...
Big Dee - I can only think of version of line from Jaws movie... We're gonna need a bigger table....
We may need to encourage people to bring folding chairs and tables, in case the campground at San Antonio doesn't have enough movable picnic tables to accommodate dinner for 75+ people.. We're in for a couple card tables, and a pair of folding bicycles...

generous snob that I am
I'm a fan of the shaken version of margaritas. The frozen ones give me brain freezes. I'll bring my fancy schmancy stuff and share generously.
We have some folding tables, we'll throw them in the truck too.
We have two other trips planned before this rally and this is the only one I can think about!! Too much fun!!

Where is the newbie section?
We've been Airstreaming for about a year now and are looking forward to seeing so many Airstreams in one place!
As for the Pot Luck, we'll bring cole slaw and a flour-less chocolate cake.

Hi Torii and Elizabeth-
So glad you can join us. As for where the newbie section is..... that brings up the NorCal rally motto.....
"There are never newbies at NorCal rallies, just old friends who haven't met yet."
The days are getting shorter and it's begining to feel like fall. October is coming fast. Can't wait to enjoy the cool fall night on the lake. Jeff don't forget to pack a good load of firewood. Mmmmmm....
Thanks to Uwe and John for the many rally pics. Tim I still need more and I know you take nice ones. hint, hint. Everybody please send me any airstream pics. big.dee@mindspring.com I'd thought I'd run a continous slideshow during dinner. Anybody have a screen? We used a sheet at Casini but a screen would be better.
And John is right. We will need as many folding tables as we can get. So everyone please bring what you can. This is a big group sitting down together!

Um...
I know they're kind of cheesy, but does this big rally call for forum name tags? If you think it's a good idea, I'll make them. I could make them shaped like Airstreams...oooh the possibilities!!

Yes to Margarita Ball..
Uwe-
Jawohl..
Unless th Str8strms can bring their motorhome up from LA, we'll have at least one sphere of Margarita's, with pump and ice bucket.. Dianne demanded one for Christmas after Pismo Beach gathering, and Santa knows enough to oblige... If they show, we'll have two!
And Ingrid- You need more sleep... I think nametags might be overdoing the organizational efforts, though Airstream shaped thingies would be kinda cool...

Oops
I deleted myself on the list of attendees. Could someone who can operate a computer correctly put me back on the list?

Ingrid,
I disagree. I for one have a terrible time remembering names and having tags would be a nice help. I appreciate your kind offer and would be happy to wear a tag.
Alternatively, we could have names on the exterior of our trailers. Perhaps that would be helpful to those of us with weak memories.

Badges . . . badges? We don't need no stinking badges. (Though I will admit that I am really bad with names.)
However, someone came up with a list at the last Pismo rally with the space #, trailer nicknames, forum screen name and actual given names of the occupants that was incredibly helpful. (Maybe city of residence too.)
I kept it in my back pocket and referred to it often.
I am still mulling over what to bring for Saturday potluck. As for Friday night, I am bringing my teenage memories of playing flute in a German Band that made the Octoberfest circut in the SF Bay area. Me, a bunch of old guys and a lot of beer. (Okay, and my mother and brother too.) Okay, maybe the memories are too hazy, I'll make some apple strudel instead.

I'm not a big name tag fan either but I am a newbie (and it seems like there are quite a few of us this time). How about just wearing them for the potluck only? Maybe first names and screen names on the same tag? I'm sure not knowing anyone with that large of a group I'll be name confused!
Also I'll bring piles of cookies for the potluck. We can always use those...

And just to clarify...
There is no pre-registration necessary, right? (Other than mentioning an interest here)
I just read a thread about rally crashers (whew!) and want to make sure I don't accidentally use bad rally etiquette.

I plan to bring a Bar-B-Q'd pork loin. I couldn't figure out if there is a way to post the item directly into a master list??? We're very excited about attending our first rally! Thanks for all your hard work in putting it together.
