Everyone is starting to get on the road. How exciting! I wish everyone safe travels especially through the Santa Ana wind.

Thanks Kevbo for loading the wood. We will need at least 2 fires to accomodate everyone so we will need it.

Murray, don't forget that screen for the "drive-in" movie. It will be a huge improvement over a sheet.

I'll see everyone on Friday hopefully around noon if I can get on the road early enough.

The fun has begun!!!

Oh by the way- did anyone notice the spectacular weather today? Truely awesome morning- cool, clear, and bright. It's going to be so incredibly nice at the lake. I love October!

Look at this awesome forecast for the Central Coast. It's going to be perfect!

A clear night is expected tonight with minimums quite chilly for mid-October, generally in the mid 30s to mid/upper 40s. Sunny and a little warmer weather is forecast for Wednesday after patchy morning clouds. Temperatures should rise by about 2-5 degrees. Thursday morning should be chilly again but afternoon temperatures will continue to rise by about 3-5 degrees into the 70s and 80s with upper 60s expected at the beaches under plenty of sunshine.

A very nice stretch of pleasant weather is actually expected through the weekend with temperatures continuing to rise through Friday before slowly receding over the weekend, but still mostly remaining in the 70s and 80s.

Thanks for the weather update and all of the time you have put into this event. We are seeing some fairly strong Santa Anas down here. We are going to escape Orange Co sometime today and make it up there by tomorrow at the latest. Hope to see some of you on the road.

We're taking off from Sacramento early tomorrow, hopefully by 8:30 p.m. to beat the commute..see you all there!

Hi y'all,
For those of you who haven't left yet - FYI. There was frost here in the county, if the heater isn't up to snuff, bring extra blankets. Daytime temps were in the 70's.

The plan calls for us to leave Fri. Morn. early.

I have a termination arbitration hearing that I could do in 1 1/2 days. Easy case clear facts. I win. Any of the usual Attorneys I would normally hire, the same. I booked the Arbitrator for an extra day for safty. The hearing started today.

But noooooooooo this worker HAS to have this other Atty. "He's like an Uncle to me. whine whine whine. So O.K. I hire this guy. After one day we are not into evidence! What the he**.... He needs all three days AND five more in May!!!!!

So we will have to leave Friday night! We will be waking ya'll up. sorry we will try to be quiet.

The only good part? This is a flat rate case. heh heh heh

Hey all,

I've been sick all week and had been hoping to be better by now but that hasn't happened. Elizabeth and I won't be attending the rally. We have really been looking forward to it so we are greatly dissapointed that we have to miss out on the festivities. Hope you all have a great time.

Hello Happy Campers! I just know the beautiful shiny Airstream I saw this morning was heading to the Rally. Early 60's model(?), light greenish metallic jeep cherokee tow vehicle, nb 101 in Camarillo?

Ring a bell? Anyways, hope you have a great weekend, sorry I couldn't join the fun this year!

My boss has dashed all hopes of me attending the rally. The bad weather back east has jump started the job. I will be working Saturday & Sunday (double time). Girl Friday & I are very sad that we will miss our 2nd in a row rally. Please post all the pictures that you can. Everyone drive safe. - Ray

Since we couldn't go.....I have been living vicariously through all the rest of you! I was hoping for one of Big Dee's WiFi updates.....but, I guess he is just having too much fun!!!

Sorry to hear that several of you had to cancel at the last minute. At times like this, it makes one realize that spring is a long way off....

Don't know if you have email at the lake, but in case you do, and in case you're wondering where we are, we lost a wheel - yep, the whole thing - on 68 about 12 miles from home. All six lugs sheared off. I thought the axle bearing must've seized, but it still turns. I was the last person to have that wheel off, and I put it back on and hand-tightened the lugs, so it's hard to believe I could have overtightened.

Anyway, by the time we got a flatbed to pick up the trailer it was too late to head down, but we're planning on heading in on Saturday, as long as nobody'll be offended to rally next to folks in a tent.
