At long last, we have settled on what we will bring to the potluck: apple crisp with whipped cream. At my age, I like to start with dessert.

Well, Well, its finally here

Time to get serious about packing and prepping now. Its down to it. Soon we all will be on-the-road migrating to our rally. Can't wait to meet all these new people and see old friends. We may be spread out a bit but that makes walking the loops even more fun, especially at happy hour on Friday. Saturday looks like a jam packed day of activities with spud launching, stealth plane flying, generator testing, how-to seminars, swap meets and kayak comparisons. All this with vino, margarita balls, octoberfest beer??? Then on to the grand finale potluck dinner, desert, campfire and "drive-in" movie. Whew, what a day!!!

This is going to be fun!!!

The rally list has a new listing. Slowolf is going to roll in on saturday. Great! The number stays at 29 because Caddygrn/NorCal Bambi are a team. Too bad 2airishuman couldn't make it but we have another hopeful in pjpoll.

So all in all this has been an amazing rally thread in its 24 pages thus far. Can't wait to meet all the authors of so many posts. See you all in 4 days!

We'll be there

for our first-ever rally. Still haven't figured out what we'll bring to the pot-luck; spending all my spare brain cells on trying to get my furnace pilot light to stay lit.

us too!

Hey ajanib -

When you figure it out, can you tell us too? We're having the same problem, and we ran out of brain cells a long time ago.

See you at the rally!

Exclamation One mo' time..Where do we go?

Big Dee...

What section are the full hook-ups in? Or do we just follow the empty beer & Tequila bottles? Our furnace is not staying lit (probably a coupler), so we'll need to plug in the electric heater. Sorry, I just don't want to read through the hundreds of posts...

We'll be arriving Thursday. Still don't know when though.

I was planning on bringing Lemon bars, but I might just bring a Linzertorte for the Oktoberfestivus crowd.

Cheers!

Yikes!

I have to get started on my nametag thingies! And I've decided our dessert will be from-scratch brownies. If I can find some Scharfenberger (sp?) chocolate at TJ's I'll make them with those. You may have to fight Big Jeff (hubby) for them however. He is a force to reckon with when it comes to brownies. However I will make enough to go around.

Margarita drinkers: Speak up if you want me to mix up enough fresh squeezed lime and lemon juice and simple syrup for a homemade mix, good cure for scurvy. Yeah. That's the ticket. I'll see how my checkbook looks for a small bottle of Patron reposado. Sharing is caring.

How are we doing on utensils, plates, cups etc.? We're also going to throw the extra tables/chairs stuff like that in the truck. We have chopped up 2 x 4's for firewood, speak up if'n you want us to bring it on down.

Ingrid,

I love fresh squeezed margs so put me down for one or two. The 2x4s might be good to liven up a fire that has all big logs so bring some if you remember. Jeff and Kev will have the big logs covered as usual. And we will need tables so bring them. Utensils should be covered except maybe plastic dinnerware.

Reminder

Is everybody getting excited like me?

Everyone please remember to bring extra folding tables of any size. We will need them for food as well as to eat on. It is hilly in that campground so we will most likely be eating in various level places so tables will be needed. Especially with such a huge crowd. I figure we will put the food in a central location then the tables will be spread out wherever it is level.
