Wow!! 37 have signed up as of this morning. People are coming from all over California and even from neighboring states, it seems. Looks like Lake San Antonio is an epicenter of sorts.

Big Dee, is this a record for a NorCal gathering?
I don't believe that list is anywhere close to being accurate. People have said they got signed up without meaning to and since many have never posted anything I believe the true list is much smaller. But I do believe this will be the largest rally ever. It's going to be fun, fun, fun with this large group. Especially with all this talk about sipping tequilas and margarita boxes!

I would volunteer to PM each of those signed up to confirm so we could get a more accurate count. We still plan on filming the rally so it would be helpful to know just how many rigs will be there and when their expected ETA is at the campo.

Murray- great idea. Let me know what you find out. I bet the real number is around 25.

To NorCal Rally members!..we'll be able to join in the festivities for the October 20th weekend rally in Lake San Antonio.. we'll probably be coming down on Thursday..For the potluck please put me down for a Dessert: haven't yet decided what to make..since it's apple season, up hereI ..may make an apple pie or apple cobbler, or pumpkin pies (if it's not too early for folks to have a pre-holiday dessert!)
We wanted to let you know that we "The 4happycamprs" will be at the rally. We will be coming up on friday (we live only 45 or so mins. away). BUT....this will be our first time taking our trailer out in public (besides towing it home from Oregon) and we do not know what we are doing ! We have only tent camped and we are not so sure we know how to hook up all the hoses and such and if everything still works! . It should be very interesting, educational, but mostly alot of fun ( if worst came to worst at least we know how to rough it in a tent). So keep you eye out for an '66 Tradewind and 4 "confused" happy cmprs with alot of questions to ask.
Hmm...I'm still deciding what to bring to the potluck.

Hi Vanessa,
We must be on the same wave length!..looking forward to the experience for sure!
We are also first-time rally-goers and still pretty new to our Airstream and camping in it. We are thrilled to be able to come to the rally and can't wait to meet everyone, check out the trailers, and ask lots of questions!
We will also have our two children (ages 4 and 6) in tow. We were thinking it would be fun for those of us with "little 'streamers" if we brought some games and an Airstream-themed craft they could do together on Sat. afternoon to get to know each other.
We will be arriving on Friday, around lunchtime. Well, back to my polishing!
i had business in SF this weekend, and i decided to bite the bullet and take hwy 101 home to ventura county and check out lake san antonio, as i have never been there.
monday 9/25/2006 about noon: just a slight breeze, sunny and 90 degrees. not a camper to be had, other than the camp host in the campround area kown as redonda vista. six cirles within the camp ground (with full hookups). hull hookups in areas A, B, C, D, and group area E. advance reservations are possible in area A and E. bathrooms and showers were clean.
the group area (circle E) is super nice, community room, huge grass area (enclosed) professional horse shoe pits, serious BBQ pits, and central area with picnic tables to seat about 200. all have full hookups. bathrooms and showers were very clean. these sites are reservable, but are located about 500 yards from the rest of areas A,B,C,D.
there are eleven other camping circles within redonda vista, however they other a level area for ur tent, and come equipped with fire pits, and picnic tables. water about every third camp site. (regular stes, with out full hookups)
lake was full to the brim.
the general store was open.
THERE WERE BUGS. bring ur bug repellant.
i'd bring ur bikes. i have a feeling we may be spreadout. redonda vista is a huge camping area.
