Wright's Lake
Some of you have seen these pictures that I posted on Facebook. But I thought the rest of you may enjoy these from our 8 day stay there last week. No 'hook-ups' there at Wright's Lake. Even better is NO phone, internet, news alerts or even a nearby store. Weather there at 7000' was perfect...a little chilly mornings and evenings and in the upper 70s during the days. We heard the 'valley' was hitting triple diggits. The lake was warm enough to swim/wade in. However, Lynn and I are looking forward to JRRVs hot tub and of course enjoying all you old and new friends.

Vinnie....one pass with your rig through those 'culverts' (?) would clear/level it/them for the future. We are seeing more larger units in the campground now especially the large moho's Their only caution is the height of the mohos to clear tree limbs. The only problem that I have is on the S- curve about a mile before the campground. The pavement appears to have been paved over some 'boulders' causing my Buick to sometimes scrape the bottom of my hitch. I know of some sobs at 30' that come regularly but they have road clearance height.

Just to keep everyone informed, Ken and Shanah (colekrc) will not be attending along with Robert and clan (1953Flying). Sad to see these fellow streamer's not attending but I'm busy filling their previous sites.
Stay tuned for an updated site map.

Hi Neil,
I remember the rough patch near the tight turns just before the entrance.. I think that part might be ok.. its the culverts.. it might clear and the only way to find out is to try. One thought on that. I do have the airhitch so it may be possible to let the air out and raise the rearend when the truck wheels set down in the culvert. Would have to attempt it. Love the pictures though..

Ken and Shannah get a pass... hope everything is ok with them.
Robert - no way... no pass.
Is this because we are bringing Lacie (our wacky lab) for the first time? Is everyone cancelling because they just watched Marley and Me...

Vin, does indicate a concern since these folks were your neighbors on both sides.
Filled Roberts site quickly with a standby rally-er, Dillon2 so no changing of their minds from the 53 gang!
I have one person on the stand by list to hear back from if they want colkrc's site. If I don't hear from them I can ether move one of us reserved site folks if they choose or ask if one of our satellite site friends(Trex, JohnfMarsh) if they would like to get into our group area.
We shall see...........

As long as you promise not to chew the export line too, everything will be OK Vin.

The only 'culvert' that I think you maybe refering to is the one that drops down to a cattle guard. It's near the end of the road that comes up from Ice house. It's a gentle long dip and quite doable at a slow speed. I hope you haven't been using the road up from HWY 50 at Kyburtz. That's a nasty climb.
