We were with 9 of those SOB's(rv's, not the people) from San Andreas and were cozy by the fire in the club house. A propane fire ring would not have helped much as the nights were quite cold. It was worth the short drive there, as we had a great time with this group just as we will have with you all at our rally in Oct.

I think doorgunner has or is going to add another fire ring to his 'pit'. That should make it toasty

on a cold night.

Sioux...To those of us in the AS (AirStream) world, an SOB is how we affectionately refer to most all 'non-AirStreams'...Seriously though, SOB to most of us means...Square Old Box...

...or Some Other Brand. However, if "the Square Old Box" has a large white flat side it makes a fine large screen to project upon it AS Rally movies.

Dan, DG & Group,
Last weekend it was 74 degrees on Saturday and 82 degrees on Sunday! Beautiful weekend to be camping in Jackson. Rates are now $35 per night weekends & $30 weekdays. 10% discounts for AAA, Good Neighbor Sams, etc still apply. I was incorrect regarding remodeling the club house. What they did was nuke the health club @ the hotel. Camp clubhouse, laundry, pool, hot tubs, etc are still the same. Camp grounds were premo as usually and full as usual.
Staff remembers our last group outing & are looking forward to our next gathering.

nice report thou. glad to hear they are looking forward to us again. i guess we didn't scare them enough last time. ok we can fix that: prepare to unleash doorgunner. haha

and look at that pic above. that has got to be the most immaculate rv park in history.

but he was on very best behavior, getting fire dept approval and all for his fire ring torch hazard thing. maybe he needs to bring his potato cannon again to shake things up a bit. it would make a nice echo in that little valley.

Here's a pic I took in 1970.I've been scanning my slides and transferring them into my clone.
When we went into "Hot" zones, usually for an emergency recon extract we loaded up with all the automatic weapons we needed or wanted. This day I was flying "stinger" with a M-60. and yes it can be fired from the hip John Wayne style.
We used a restraint leash to keep us in the chopper.
I miss the leash.

We followed the instructions, sir, and registered via rally site.. Don't want to cause any trouble, and sure don't want to have to organize one myself...

We're coming up 88 this time, instead of taking scenic route down Hwy 49 from Auburn and dodging the snow...

Yeah, he's back, but I figure he may be armed and dangerous (at least to wayward spuds..). Don't want to cause any aggravation, or (like the Soup Nazi..) it'll be: NO CAMPING IN JACKSON FOR YOU!!

(but... if DG could perhaps do something about the cold weather... I'm just asking...)
