pot luck images continues....

I had to take a break there so's to say "bye" to dg and LL, Buttercup, Perry, Bob and Lee (glad you guys made it up) and Debra (Babeebloos) who also needed a hand to disconnect her water supply (dg ain't the only guy to rescue the ladies). It is the most fun to photograph everyone enjoying the pot luck and festivities that follow. Doorgunners fire pit (did you contribute some 'firewood'?) the full moon and the Alumalounge makes for a joyous time.

I'm not done yet!

I try not to use flash but did to photograph our very entertaining entertainers. The time exposures are give fun effects but please don't wagle your finger at me because the image of you may be blurry. It's "Art" don't chu' know!?

Finally and suddenly it's a-a-a-all over.

Sunday morning everything is put away, the grounds cleaned (we want to come back ya' know) and rigs packed. Except for a few staying one or two days more it's farewell to old and many new friends.

I'm not done yet...

Dianne left a 'special' thank you and goodbye "token" in the site that she and John occupied. She explained to me the signifcance of the stone arrangement but hopefully she will post an explanation. I'll just mess it up....big time.

Another Awesome Rally in the Books!!!

Neil- Fabulous job as official rally photographer! And thanks for taking the time to post so many pics. Loved everyone of them. the Rancheria makes such a great background to the pics.

Thanks to everyone for another awesome rally. A special kudos goes to doorgunner for taking point. Another kudos goes to Jeff for taking over the reservation process. Stay tuned for a new reservation procedure for next year. The aim is to simplify.

Time to Call Casini!

OK everyone, time to call Casini and get reservations for the spring rally. Please call ASAP so we don't have any SOBs in our section. We will be in the full hookup section as usual. And I started a new Casini Rally thread.

It is all Cam's Fault

On bus ride back from Breakfast Buffet Sunday, Cam explained to Dianne that "Balancing rocks" was a great relaxing sport, and easy to do, with the proper focus, and sensitivity to the rock's inner self.... While I was trying to hitch up the trailer and make the checkout time, Cam was teaching Dianne to balance rocks at our site.. It worked.. All the way home, whenever we saw a pile of rocks by the road, Dianne confidently predicted "I could balance those" or "Those would make a good stack!"...

I guess I'd rather leave piles of rocks stacked by the road than stashed in the storage bins of the trailer, "Lucy-style..." Clever photography can make them look like stacked boulders...

Thanks again to Tim, Jeff and the Table-movers, all the great cooks, Neil and the other photographers, and the String Quartet who entertained after dinner.. (Who needs a Cello??). We - and our guests the Robinsons - had a great weekend...

I'll try to get a couple more pictures loaded (uploaded??) from home PC tonight...

Never, ever, again

Well we left JRRV a little after noon today. just got back to the vinyard. About 7 hours to go 38.3 miles.

We were about 1/2 way home when a military chopper flew pretty low above us and continued forward over the road and disappeared outa sight.I'm going WOW that was cool. LL just shrugged and said "flyboys"

As we were going up a slight hill with a cut in the hill at the top I thought I noticed a light flash from the top of the hill, kinda like a mirror or reflection off a scope.I'm pretty vigilant ya know, so we crest the hill and on the down side just in view looks like a big accident, judging by the flashing lights and such. I slowed it way down and noticed "lights" more than a few in the rear view. Getting closer I see it's a road block and there ain't no one in front of me. LL has this look of OMG in her eyes and I'm thinking "this isn't gonna be good"
So stopping about 50 yards in front of the road block I hear the guy with the bull horn telling us to get out of the burb with our hands in the air in plain view. LL is not happy as she's looking down the barrels of about 10 drawn rifles. " I'm thinking this is gonna be fun"
Let me tell you about the "homeland security" guys. Well the don't admire folks driving around with missiles on the roof.
6 hours of interrogation, a complete search of the burb and the trailer. and me pleading my case and finally we got set free.some trip ending.
What a great camping trip.
See everyone on the Russian River.

We had a great time - cool location. Thanks for making us feel so welcome - especially since we crashed the party at the last minute

We are at Casini Ranch tonight - there are only a handful of folks camping here and the day was sunny and beautiful.

We took the scenic route here - right past a fabulous pie diner! If you get a chance go here Mom's Apple Pie

Skip lunch - head for the pie and coffee!

We drove through the camp on Saturday to show our friends the RV Park and there you all were. We stayed in Plymouth that weekend but sure liked the sight of all that aluminum. Art Stream almost got me talked into breaking camp and joining the group. My wife said that maybe we should try the next meeting, and she really doesn't like group activities. Maybe we are making some headway with her.
