Welcome to kevndeb. Noticed that you are from Livermore. Did you notice that Yhottys can't make it with their cheeses. Notice that they are in Oakland. Anybody else notice the potential movement of cheese from Oakland to Livermore to Jackson? Just thinking......

What's she drink'n? Just kidding. Will drop something in the jar and even will say something if she's there at check in.
May I also suggest a little 'firewood' for DG and maybe B'cup for the propane campfires we will be enjoying. DG's firepit was so impressive last year that the JRRV Park fire dept. stopped and chatted for a while. Nice fellows as is all the staff there.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, special thanks to Big Dee and doorgunner for all your help. We would be happy to bring Yhottys cheeses, but with work schedules as well as getting ready for the trip I don't think a trip to Oalkland is possible, unless they are willing to bring it to Livermore???

See ya"ll soon!

Trailer is packed and moved to our 'launch pad'. That is the RV pad up our driveway. The driveway is gravel and steep that only the 4x4 pickup can get the trailer up there from across from the house. It is easier to load/unload there. It is still a climb up from the pad to the street but the convertible can get traction on that part of the driveway. We leave Wednesday for the short drive to Jackson. DG and Michael will be there with us watching you all manuvering into your sites when you arrive. Weather will be cooler but hopefully not as windy as last year. It's October.

I dropped Yhotty a PM. Hopefully, they can get it to you. If not you are, of course, still most welcome and will certainly enjoy this group.

Hi Buttercup,

Since we are newbies at this and you mentioned the potluck on Saturday, I was hoping you could you give me some ideas of what poeple usually bring/do. Do we just bring one dish and how much or do we bring a meat and a side, do we bbq on our own etc.. Also how about BYO Happy Hour, do we bring drinks and sancks to share?? If you could give me the scoop that would be great.

Thanks,

Deborah

Deborah- The BYO Happy Hour means of course bringing you own drinks. That's all that's required. But if you happen to have Yhotti's cheese (or any munchie), well of course everyone enjoys food.

Saturday's Pot Luck means bring whatever dish will feed a lot of people. Your pick: salads or entrees or desserts. I'm bringing chicken wings and some pies for dessert. There's always plenty of food.

Hope that answers your questions. See you soon.

all this talk about "launch pad", ready to "blast off" , in "orbit" has got me thinking I should load up my ICBM and bring it with me.

sounds like a theme or something.
Space the final frontier!
It's blowing like snot here right now, I'm almost ready to go, a few last minute stops tomorrow then hit the road wed late am.
The launch sequence has been initiated!!

on second thought-- how about "Fly me to the moon" or something romantic?
In the misty moonlight? or as Ralph Cramdon used to say- I'm gonna send you to the moon Norton.
Moon River that's a nice tune.Moon Dance, I like Van Morrison.
One Moon, Two Moon, a little native american lingo
Moon over Detroit etc, etc

God Bless Jackson Rancheria's awesome employees!!! That place has the nicest people working there anywhere in the world as exemplfied by Jolene. Everyone that hasn't been to Jackson, be prepared to be amazed.

I would say a tip in the jar for Jolene and a few beers into the ice chest for Tim.

hahahaha of course doorgunner has an ICBM out in the vineyard somewhere.

And I think our theme for Saturday night should be Van's Moon Dance!
