Neil; There never was a question about about propane firepits! I got the 411 in person prior to starting anything.The firering is scheduled to be tested this weekend. I'm still transfering fuel!!!
P.S. NO CHARCOAL - sends off embers or has the possibility too.that was mentioned earlier also.

There are no seating assignments, only by length. So as to say the bigger rigs have fewer spots to choose from. The Rancheria will assign you a spot upon arrival. Only one person has a seat assignment.So the sooner you show up the closer get to the epicenter. then it just orb's outward.So we'll see you on thursday nite!
Those that show up late will probably be out in -ford country.

We 'Ford' types are now negotiating with a company that manufactures Olympic Stadium torches...so we can have a really BIG flame in our compond...We'll have to rent a propane delivery truck to fuel the beast, but we're confidant there will be no mosquitoes to pester us...

Maybe we should have a 'chip tossing' contest up there...casino chips, that is...perhaps a 'target' nearby to toss at (AS cookie jar?)...we could use $1 Jackson chips, with maybe a $10 buy-in, where the tosser with the most through the target hole would win all the chips that missed, and 2nd place would get the chips that went through the 'hole'...or some other similar contest...food for thought.

So, has anyone noticed? It's been a bit chilly lately. Usually it doesn't cool off until mid-October. Are we going to have to bundle up for Jackson? Neil, don't you live close to Jackson? What can we expect?

You can expect anything. It's FALL. Jackson is 45 liesurely minutes away from us but lower in elevation. It is a chilly 40 here this Saturday morning but sunny. Just subtract up to 5 degrees from what you hear what Sacramento is forcast. I wouldn't trade the chilly mornings for HOT afternoons..........or the r-word.

yup finally will be testing the propane fire pit!!
have all the parts, just need to assemble them.
Then if all goes well I'll move to stage 2 discovery.
That will be the addition of a lazy susan to the center of the 24" burn ring and rerouting of the propane hose to 2 equally spaced refillable disposable (I did that myself) 16.4 oz propane cylinders. yup a self contained fire pinwheel. this is gonna look sweet!
