Lilli here is the thread for the 2008 rally. If you click forward to when the rally actually takes place the "piccys" will give you insight of the fun that we have. Start with page 45.

Someone needs to 'bump' this thread. Let's see...we have some news. If all goes good we will show up with a newly painted convertible. The old paint will need to be stripped and lots of little dings, dents, little rust outs etc to be tended to. The body shop will have the car for a month. The shop owner is a neighbour and is aware that I will need the car for Casini. He'll begin this Monday. Our son, Todd, says he may come. He has to take his leave time from the Navy (corpsman) before May before his ship leaves this summer. Todd has been in the Navy 15 1/2 years and hasn't been able to time his 1 or 2 leaves each year to join us camping since the summer that he left for boot camp. Lynn is deciding on our 'pot luck' contribution. I think she told me what she will do but I don't remember what.

checking in
the rally still seems a long way off. the month of march is always a grind so i hope it goes fast.
can't wait to see the new paint job neil!! are you keeping it red? your going to turn even more heads now when you drive by. also would be great to meet todd. i hope he makes the rally.
i tried reading the british thread but everytime i stopped for a moment, there was another 20 pages. i can't catch up. funny reading though. i hope lili will come over here before long. we need a little humor!
still thinking of a dessert for potluck which will be a first for me. a pot of chocolate fondue might do fine.
like vinnie said "whats everyone up to?"

Hey Vinnie and Dee and fellow revelers,
Checking in --and can't wait to see everyone in April.
We just got home from a quick trip down the coast for a little Big Sur sunset reassurance. As usual, every trip in the Airstream is the best one ever--until the next one!
This time we were happily joined by our youngest who regaled us with many funny teacher stories. Just one night away did the job of weeks.

Great pictures Janet! Wow is right.
K, I need to add that location to places I absolutely have to visit. Sunsets, the ocean, and Airstreams are three of my favorite things!
Can you tell me the name?
I am so looking forward to meeting you at the Silver Sister's Rally next month ( =

Hi All,
Getting excited to start our traveling season. Cassini is our 1st of the year. Down in LA heading home today. See our youngest has gotten herself a spot as a Laker Girl and we finally were able to come down and see her do her thing at the Laker/Celtic game. And was that ever exciting.
Now onto pot luck talk. We are adding our Dutchoven Mac and Cheese for the sharing.

Ditto on Janet's awesome photos!
As Vinnie mentioned getting things dusted off we discovered a nice water leak that will have me replacing the floor near the gaucho after the rally. We'll call it the front basement entry for now! (worthless vista view window@%&*)
I anticipate no tow vehicle issues this year ether.
Dan, bring the chocolate fondue! (can you formally start the potluck list?)
Neil, with a fresh coat of paint on the convertible you should be front and center in the rally zone!
Gemma, Collin has been asking if Christian will be coming this year?

Thanks for your kind words Janet.
We've got site 19 booked for two nights. It looks like the same site you were in. Hopefully, we'll have the same great weather you and Terry enjoyed on your trip.
Cross you fingers for us!

Jeff,
Yes, Christian will be coming this year. Yay! So will his older sister, Alana, who's twelve. Probably not so, "Yay" as far as the boys are concerned.
Both are looking forward to camping. Christian especially and he's asked about Collin as well. Sounds like they're both on the same page and will have a great time along the river and in the game room.

Hi Janet,
Kirk creek is beautiful. Each time you go there and post pictures I am so jealous. Its not that far away and would be a nice trip for Cindy and I.
Im glad everyone is checking in. Jeff, sorry about your flooring. It would be nice to think that we could all dodge a bullett with this floor rot thing but I dont think so. Its just a matter of time. Would be interesting to do the repair. Wish we were closer. There will be an available spot soon LOL!
Neil.. you will get the first Shrimp off the barbi this year.. I will have my fabulous assistant Cindy run them over to you..

Vin, make room in the yard were comin'
With the Britmobile almost done I don't want you to get bored
The floor rot will give me an excuse to finally do something with the original berber carpet and put something in that is more kid friendly. The actual floor repair will be easy. Wish there were no lousy vista views to deal with.
If I wanted daylight I'll go outside!
Neil, I need to sit near you for the potluck as my luck will maybe change in getting one of the those famous Vinnie shrimp!
Jeff
