I will be tracking your movements closely Vinnie. As soon as you make a move for the food table from the BBQ, I'll be all over it. Nobody's going to beat me out this time!

Thanks, Dan.....I wish you had sent me that warning BEFORE I sat down at the table! I ate too much; then, as soon as I started to feel better, we ate some PIE with whipped cream....
I hope all my peeps had a GREAT Thanksgiving!

we will second and third that: our hosts had 3 turkeys, one for an emergency spare, plus too much other good stuff..and then dessert. It was good practice for the pot luck in April...may take that long to recover.

I have not attended an event like this. Tell me what goes on and what should I expect? Also since I have an airstream older motorhome and see mostly trailers is the the correct event for my airstream? Pardon my ignorance.

Welcome Ranchmink,
My two favorite things happen at these events.. socializing with people who love airstreams.. and camping..
This is a nice group of folks that you could fit right in with. There are no expectations at these events but Im sure you will want to take part in the potluck..
Tim and Kimber have an older Airstream motor home so you will have some company.
Hopefully you could find your way out to one of these events if not with us some other group. Nothing like seeing a sea of silver when you pull into the campground.
Vinnie

Chris, hi: Here's a couple of comments: we were newbies last year, the only Class A in the group, and our newer moho is a 2005 made out of fixxxxglass on the outside. We were warmly welcomed and had an abolsutely great time! The people are wonderful (or, as Victor Borge put it, twoderful). The current issue is the logistics: lots of our group, and others, have booked so the campground is filling up. Make a res and join us: the location is great, and the food, beverages and companionship is great.

Hey Chris,
Even if you cannot make it up for the Friday-Sunday get-together, there is quite a bit of overlap at either end, if you can make it then! But, Saturday's potluck is really the happening event not to be missed....start planning for next spring (2011), if you are able to.
This fun group really needs more than 2 meet-ups each year! No, I am not volunteering for anything....

FreeStyle Rallying..
Ranchmink-
Welcome and hope you can stop by for portion, or schedule changes..
As noted by others, Motorhomes as welcome as trailers, and we try to make new membes feel welcome...
As assistant co-chair of organizing committee, there are really only two critical items on the schedule...
-Wine and snacks Friday evening
-Pot-Luck dinner Saturday evening...
Beyond that, folks are welcome to do anything they want to enjoy the greater Russian River area.. There are two canoe rental operators, who also provide kayaks for the river.. The town of Guerneville has shopping, antiques, and a vintage trailer restoration shop. There are more than 20 wineries in the area, from Korbel Champagne to Kendall Jackson and lots of smaller ones. There is Bodega Bay and Jenner on the Pacific Ocean. You can sit and read, or watch television or socialize and tour trailers. You can take a nap... The possibilities are endless. There are no mandatory events or games or requirements...
