Ok, so we decided to come to Casini. How could we not after having such a fantabulous time at Rivernook? I called to get reservation, and all of the full hookup sites that the rest of you are in are booked. ) = I havent been there before so I thought I would ask you all. Which sites would you recommend for the over flow Airstreamers? We could be over by the river, or in the F-block just across from the rest of you. Whatcha think?

ASwifey,
Last year there were folks across from us and along the river.. everyone seems to find their way to the Potluck and activities.. No worry. Casini has a great layout and should work well if you are somewhere close by. Here is the map for a quick look.

Ok, I went ahead and booked site #14 along the river. Hopefully we will have some more aluminium join us over there so we won't be all alone.
Checking in Friday, and leaving on Monday.
Thanks

Sorry we had to leave, we really didn't want to get stuck in the Sunday afternoon traffic from Las Vegas~it was great to meet you guys too. Jim hasn't started his housings yet, maybe by the time Casini rolls around he'll get it done. Here's a sneak peek of Wally.

OK everyone- Jeff and I have been working on a new reservation system for Jackson 2010. We are just about ready. We have 30 sites reserved and I expect them to go pretty quick. So I hope everyone on this thread is ready to make Jackson reservations. Hey it's never too early to plan a rally.

Wonderful to have you join us. My concern for your #14 spot on the river is, that if we get rain this season, you might be in bit of a bind. Some years that whole area has been under water! April is tricky around these parts. Then again, you might have the best site of the rally!
Cheers! Karin

Wally is a cutey! It's hard to tell color with the shadows....he's a terrier, I am pretty sure, but what kind?
btw....the link to the rally sign-up is in my signature....just of formality! It will be fun to meet you and ASwifey....and, Wally, of course. We are a very pet-friendly bunch.

Well, heck. I guess we better bring our paddles.
Or at least check the weather report before we get there.
Surely if it is flooded, they will have alternate sites for us???
I just love being close to the water, but I don't want to swim in and out for sure!

As I recall from our walks earlier this spring, these sites were closer to the river, but not much lower than the full hook-up sites where "Airstream Central" is located. A check on Google Earth indicates that "Airstream Central" is ~20' above sea level; the area where your site is located is ~10' above sea level. The river is at ~sea level; so, it would have to be fairly high to flood! I suspect the entire campground would be closed if the river was that high. Sooooooo....I would say, don't worry until the time arrives!

Airswify, you can leave a note with Casini & ask if they will put you into the "Silver Circle" in the event of a cancellation, (Perhaps one of those SOB's will catch wind of their impending doom and decide to forgetaboutit!)
Wally is a Cairn Terrier, his coloring is like a Yorkie right now. His parents were both black so we'll see what he ends up looking like. (Toto was a Cairn.)

It rained pretty good at the begining of last years Casini. Many of us had 'waterfront' campsites.

Neil,
I specifically put in a request for NO RAIN this upcoming Casini... They promised me at the front desk they could make that happen... man thats customer service. Those Casini people are soooo nice. (except for the one that arrested Doorgunner..)
Oh well, cant have everything.

Thanks for putting the request in for us not to get flooded Airslide.
Sure hope they can swing that.
PS. Fill me in on Doorgunner when we get there?
I"m new, it's your job to spill the beans.
You know I just gotta make sure not to make the same mistake that
he did!
