Hi, sorry we can't make it this year to Casini, but read this message several times; We were one of, I don't know how many, who got bad directions off of our computer. We drove in circles trying to find a street where we were supposed to turn left, then to the camp ground. We could not find this street that was in our directions. I stopped on a very narrow street to ask some locals where the heck was this street, where I'm supposed to turn left on. After talking to a few locals they determined that this street did not exist. When we finally made it to Casini, my gas gauge said I had 20 miles till empty. The people at Casini told me it was 12 miles to the nearest gas station; If I made one more wrong turn, I would have been stuck in the middle of no-where without gas. This was two years ago and cell phone service was not available in this area. Not a good feeling. Please read this two more times before leaving home.

We had a great time and had a fantastic neighbor. Enjoy your Rally.

Yeah, good neighbors can 'share' a sewer hookup. We will miss you 2 this time. The Rancheria again?

At least now there is Verizon cell service all the way down the river road, almost to the intersection with Route 1. I don't know about other carriers.

Our Verizon, cell and Aircard, worked just fine from Casini last year. BECKY, if you want PM me and I will return with my cell number in case you need it for directions....but if you take River Road you should not have any problems finding Casini.

I asked, Lynn again for her potluck idea ....she has one but I wanted her to let me post it. She says,"To me potluck is what ever you have at the time...that's why it's called pot "luck". Hmmmm, oh well I know what it is but I'm not tellin' Tiffany is contributing the margie ball....don't let any of you stop bringing one also....one isn't always enough. Whata group!

Thanks for correction on Dinner Time, Dan.. Six-ish it is... Memories of past logistics a little hazy...

We also are bringing our "Ron & Debbie Model" Officially Authorized Margarita Ball, though donations of Tequila are always appreciated.. Glasses, salt and lime wedges included... Will roll out Saturday evening for pre-dinner cocktails...

>> and yes, it is entirely possible for Mapquest and GPS programmers and others to actually be completely wrong about finding Casini, including roads and intersections that don't exist... All the more reason to just "follow the road along the north side of the river..." (If you cross at Rio Nido by quonset hut, you too may get lost...) Look for little cluster of buildings and train station at "Duncan's Mills", and turn left to go over river and up hill to entrance for Casini's on left...
