I drove out to Rancho Mistako today. 1/3 of the spots are zero clearance type. So that ain't gonna work . Too bad the spot is kinda nice, oh well.
Nice pics being posted!

Thanks - and until next time!
Hi everyone,
Thank you very much for welcoming us newbies from down South - we had a great time - and can't wait for the next rally! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.
We drove (reluctantly) home Tuesday morning, arriving in Santa Barbara before sunset - with just enough light to park and un-hitch.
Best,
Scott & Cyle

Many Pictures
It takes sooo long to pack up and leave to a Rally...and sooo long to pack up and leave from a Rally.....and to unpack when you get home. We got home at 5 pm Tues after a leisurely drive (yeah, doorgunner, I made a wrong turn again [not the same one as last time] and arrived at Camping World via HWY 12) I have not parked the trailer yet. It is out in the driveway hooked to our truck (I have to manuever it with the truck). Anyway I just edited the pics that I took over last week (Tues to Tues) and will now post them. It will have to be accomplished over several posts as there is a max you can post at one time AND our friggn' slow dial up will allow me to start unloading the trailer while waiting. Here goes. I will post the pics in chronicalogical order begining with our arrival on 4/8 and ending on our last night on 4/14. Enjoy.
Neil.

Back with more..
Well I got the trailer turned around but couldn't get it placed where I wanted acrossed from the garage so that I could do some minor work on it. The gravel hillside driveway 'gives' too much to back downhill. So I placed the trailer back into it's shelter (see post 562, pg.41) for now.
So back to posting more pictures.

The morning after the pot luck shows little to clean up. Our grandson is playing with his cars perhaps wanting little silver trailers too. Monday, Lynn and I escaped the gusty wnds by driving to Armstrong Redwoods for a short stroll. I have not been there in 40 or so years. The 3000+ year old trees looked the same .
And finally Monday evening the car is hooked up for our departure in the morning. Scott and Cyle (smccollister) will depart shortly before us and Dan (Big Dee) will leave on Wednesday. Thank you all...Lynn and I look foward to seeing you again. Certainly a welcome to the newcomers that joined us. A pleasure to meet you and join us again.
Neil...Lynn

Thanks to all for the weekend. Despite the unfortunate accident,We enjoyed seeing and meeting you all. Ginny had to have surgery today to fix her elbow. Besides being dislocated the ligaments were also badly stretched so that the elbow was not staying in place. They had to put in a artificial joint and reattach the ligaments. I will stop there because I am not medically qualified to go any further. Suffice it to say that it will be a long recovery. Thanks again for all your support, You are a great group. And thanks to Janet B you were a great nurse.
Hope to see you all in the future

Ginny will recover just fine. Yes recovery takes time but 'alumitherapy' works great. Just ask us.

American River Resort
There was an idea being discussed at this Rally of the possibility of a Fall Rally in the Foothills. American River Resort in Coloma is a ' possibility'. http://americanriverresort.com/index.html In October of '06 at the same time doorgunner was creating a 'deck' from a picnic table for his high rise Excella at LSA Lynn and I were participating in a Vintage Travel Trailer Rally at American River Resort. I say this place is "a possibility" because it is a hillside resort on the river. Although in a attractive area for senery and activities (Gold Discovery State Park, wineries, Placerville and Auburn nearby and the Fall festivity at Apple Hill in Camino the trailer spaces for some of you may shall I say be ' tight'. I believe that there are some full hookups but it is mostly just water and electric. Doorgunner would be a good one to check this place out. I will post some pictures of our stay there.

Jim, thanks for the update on Ginny. I'm so sorry to hear that it was a dislocation PLUS! Wow. Please give her our best as she gets through this rough part and on to a speedy recovery.

nice pics Neil;
I especially like the 55 Bel Air, no post, probably had factory air,283 powerglide slip/n/slide. Mickey Thompson mags-cheater slicks. Mine was 2 tone green, I had it in high school, my second 55. I miss that ride,
looks like extra leveling blocks are required at that place!!
