Trained canned meat, the other pet. I was wondering when we'd hear from the Vienna Sausage people. I've always wanted to try Cheese Whiz, this may be the opportunity.

Hey, Lets not forget Dinty Moore Beef Stew in a can! Warms up nice on the exhaust manifold while enroute.
Cheez Whiz oughta go with most any wine!
How about those little tiny ears of corn in the glass jars?
Maybe Devil Dogs!

Hey Neil; Your Drop Top is Weak- Yupp WEAK bubba.

DG-- I can testify that the Airlounge will be the place to be. No firepit inside, but two flatscreen TV's and a huge martini shaker. We can build a fire outside. Poor Sue won't get any peace and quite the entire weekend

Thanks Stan

Thanks Stan...we did have fun at my first outing at a KOA. Happy Camper wine is a must. Iwill be bringing those stowed away bottles!
The Air Lounge is all polished up and ready to go to Cassini! I found a great guy from the Bay Area if anyone needs polishing help! Cam gave me a fancy fake firepit so that should take care of those first requests!
Bring yur spam and ritz. I have the cheez whiz!

well i've been down and out with the flu but i've risen from the dead. and now i realize we got about a month to go till we gather again. wow! very exciting. i took out my trailer with my new truck a couple of weeks ago. it's an incredible rig! the sixth speed transmission is nothing less than awesome! i was going down a large hill when i was picking up too much speed when i tapped the brakes. the computer tells the tranny to downshift and whoa i felt the deceleration big time. plus the new vortec climbed the hill with ease. also, the rearview camera made hitching up incredibly fast. i can't wait to do some serious driving this summer.

i must object to this lowering of our gourmet food standards. are we trying to think of the grossest food we can bring? vienna sausage in a can? cheez-whiz? disgusting! just stop it. what happened to all the gourmet camp chefs? well i for one am thinking the other way, like baked brie topped with a cranberry chutney for happy hour. fresh bagels with homemade smoked albacore smear for brunch. i am still thinking about dinner entree but if i can get my smoker working in time, maple-glazed smoked turkey breasts. mmmm.... that's what i am talking about!!!

sue- glad the Air Lounge is all polished and ready to go. i think you will have the show stopper award for sure. can't wait to see it and have one of cam's special tropical drinks inside.

i'll see everybody soon...

Camping Gourmet!! The only way to go!

I agree with Big D. Although we may be very new to this crowd, we always bring top notch effort into our food preperation. (although nothing beats a bag of salted roasted peanuts while playing a rousing game of Yatzee)

As I mentioned

MACANDCHEESE!

will be out contribution to the evening Buffet. This receipe comes from an America Heritage Cookbook, and illustrated history of American Eating & Drinking! Published in 1964. This particular copy with descovered at a flea market in Capitola approximately 20 years ago. This copy was owned by a Earl Haggard, who was especially proud of such ownership as he enscribed his name both on the title page and then once again on the inside of the back cover!

Seeing as the book is a History of; in this book they have notation from a a Mr. Cutler speaking of a dinner he had attented with President Jefferson on February 6, 1802 about "a pie called macaroni", which it seems may be the first mention of Mac and Cheese that these authors found. A little interesting I think.

I can't wait to see what else shows up. BEWARE OF SPAM!!!!

Laura

Glad your better Big Dee

Hey Dan
Sorry to hear you were sick (if the spam pics don't relapse you!!!) Glad you are on the mend...I promise to get out my Martha Stewart cook book (won in an auction) and will go for it. I'm thinking a camp cobb salad but I will step it up just for you. Cam is readying the pink flamingo drinks and umbrella's. Stan and I stock piled Happy Camper wine from the KOA and will be sharing that. We are very excited to see everyone.
Until then...

ONE Candle?

one candle, 2 brewski's and a small can of spam!
Where did you find the snack size can?

Dan,Dan,Dan
Pot luck means just that-I usually bring the Moochi ice cream, but I think I'll do something more creative this outing.
maybe I'll get out the boy scout cookbook, somethin like squaw bread on a stick, or foil wrapped hot dogs for the mac n cheeze.

But then again I have an old cookbook from my grandmothers Greek Orthodox Church Ladies Club. That has some to die for things in it, I'm tellin ya.
any volunteers to man the spit? everyone like goat?

It'll be a surprise, hee hee hee

Oh boy fink plamingos wit bumrellas!!

I'm not gonna try to "push" him into unknown territory like I tried with Neil- He has a ton of moho info I need from him.I gotta stay in good graces with him!

So Guy
How was the Mexico trip?
How's the new rearrangement in the moho working?
What kinda mileage you gettin?
Any snow in Dunsimuir?

How much tire pressure you runnin in the rear?
Maybe we can get Neil to come up with another Pacifico and share the meat.
