DG, you and LL have been way to generous...and with some fabulous wines! I think it would be fun for us to each bring a bottle or two of something produced in our local areas. For us it will be something from the Santa Cruz Mountain region.
Gotta love living in the Appellations...

Yes, I think Paula and Janet have a good suggestion. Most of us enjoy a wine from near our homes. We have 3 wineries within a mile of our home here in El Dorado County. Why not each of us bring a bottle or two of our local wineries for 'the tasting'.

I think Lynn of FreshAir introduced the friday wine thing-maybe it's at her place.
I'm not planning any scheduled activities at my place, I'm gonna relax, pound down a few cold ones during daylight, take some aerial photo's and eat meat and drink wine late afternoon into late nite.
Then a do over for a few daze.
my schedule includes checking out BigDees new TV,Peter's high performance hydraulic jack,Luminaties new dinette, Caddyshacks Ford under hood engine swap for additional mods and a myriad of other time consuming and significant affairs worthy of trailer commitment tourism.
And meeting those brave enough not to run as I approach them.

Did anybody read my message that Kimber and I would host Battail Hour on Saturday before the potluck?

Wine & Cheese Please!

"Wine without cheeze
Is like a Kiss
Without a squeeze!" - Doorgunner

DG: is that an original saying? Whatever...I like it! It got me to thinkin', maybe everyone can bring a bottle of good wine and some good cheese. We have a local Rouge Noir-World Champion- Triple-cream Brie here in Petaluma, that we'd like to bring along. I don't know if we can beat the Lodi Zin's, but we'll have to dig out some Sonoma County winners!

Is this for Fri or Sat evening? Is this Mr and Mrs Buttercup's gig? Is this black-bat tie???

Smile Friday night

I think DG meant Friday night. Saturday evening is still yours, Buttercup. Whatever is deceided is fine with us. If someone else wants to do it it won't hurt our feelings. And for everyone to bring bottles from their own area is more fun anyway but don't forget the cheese please. We are right in the middle of everyone so if you want to do it there it's OK by me (and Neil). Lynn

OH HO HO, Luminati! Yes, Petaluma rocks for food and cheese and wine and stuff (try Della Fattoria on Petaluma Blvd, http://www.dellafattoria.com/). I think the local winery idea is great. Westside highway intersects River road (to Cassini) and there are wineries along there, to Healdsburg. Maybe a sub-road trip? Maybe it's better to just arrive well stocked, so no driving.

Tidbits

1- Wine and cheese quote from "Grandpa" at Michael- David wineries, a local fellow.
2- Luminati and Globie tied for posts at 124; lets not get any super delegates involved here to negate the desires of the voters!
3- Proper posting requires the use of CAPITAL letters when abreviating members names- Doorgunner would be DG.or something like that.
4- more than one scheduled event leans toward structure and blue sissy hats.
5- I can start a fire with less than a gallon of gas or jet fuel.

If you approve the above message text "great info DG, rock on"

If you need more info text" I'm so lame I forgot what I was texting"

If you just don't get it text" what up dat"

all applicable phone charges apply and your text will be seen by no one.but you'll feel good, reach out and touch someone, with a glass of wine.

response to:

#1-Grandpa, you are one ripened and wise soul with a piquant bouquet and elegant legs.

#2- Yes, Globie and I tied, however I've been a member since Christ was a cowboy and am not as loquacious as the Globster!
I do believe that Hillary- I mean the super delegates- will cause a riot should they go with the Obamanation...we'll see whose desperation out-does the other...I'm rather like the Hucksterbee...I refuse to face facts and love the attention!

#3- I believe I passed with flying colors on that one DG!

#4- I resemble that insinuation, although my hat is fashioned with Reynolds wrap and adheres fully to my nuanced skull.

#5 -I believe DG is the expert in this area of fuel accelerants . Let's allow him to show off his pyro-techic skills!
