The Winery that gifted us with a fine case of wine! Just thought folks might like to see the connection.

Well I've got to go now, this weekend is the 11th annual Wine and Chocolate weekend, 37 wineries with nothingbut fun, fun, fun.
Think I'll start at Van Ruiten then Ripken on the way to Jessie's Grove, Lucas over to m2, then Berghold and so on.

Ah, yes, Site 54. It is under a spreading oak tree. Well, I think it is and oak. It's big but last Spring there was a woodpecker chipping (I'm avoiding saying 'pecking' to keep the jokes away) ALL day long. Fortunately it was quiet when the sun wasn't shining. A pretty site though. My avatar shows site 52A which shares THAT tree.

Our First Airstream Rally!

Hello Fellow Airstream Forum Denizens!

We've made reservations (site 52A) and can't wait to meet everyone!

We've never attended an Airstream rally-What can we expect? Be gentle with us.

26 Rigs!

welcome gemma and murray! it's funny how first timers are always a little apprehensive. we must give off the vibe of a wild group. well that we are not (except for doorgunner of course, haha). we are a gentle group and believe me when i say that from the minute you arrive, you will feel that you are amongst long dear old friends. good place, food, drink, people and trailers. what's better than that?

hey dg, how was the wine and chocolate weekend??? very jealous. glad to see michael david get some exposure from huel. love his show.

Thanks Dan!

We were just reading some posts on Airstream Rally etiquette. Are there any fees? Any planned events such as pot lucks and/or open houses? What can we do to help out?

We've camped with BurnStream Court during Burning Man and met the nicest people.

We can't wait to meet everyone. Thanks again for making us feel so welcome!

Welcome. 52A was our site last year. See my avatar. Nice site. It aparently was a permanent resident site at one time. A nice concrete slab to park next to. Hopefully the Casini folks have 'repaired' the funky sewer connection.

Smile Newcomers welcome

Last year was our first time out and we were very apprehsive but that only lasted until we drove in. We were made to feel like a long time friend and so glad to see us. We looked forward to the "open house' and it wasn't just the hours posted everyone was willing to share their rig and it didn't matter the age. The old ones were as equal as the newer ones. No one had their nose in the air and everyone was welcome.

A word of warning concerning what to bring. Just make sure you are set up with some extras for pot lucks. Even a bag of chips will do. Satuday night is THE potluck but then there's the Friday night wine tastimg/ and cheese tasting and the Saturday brunch. I always feel funny if I don't have something so a few extra somethings that are around make it all ok. And if you don't have anything that's ok too.

Some if us are retired and can make it earler than just the weekend. So Neil and I will be there to greet you when you arrive and wave our goodbyes when you leave. Be sure and bring your cameras and your easy chair and sit and talk awhile and visit and just have fun.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone again or just for the first time.

Sounds like fun! Drive-In movie sounds kind of cool... any thoughts on what to show? It's so great to hear other people celebrate bat-hour too! Looking forward to meeting you all.

Dan;
thanks for askin,
LL and I managed to get to 6 wineries west of Hwy 99 saturday and another 6 east of 99 on sunday.Everyone knows I'm a Zin man, but we did find some other things!Crystal Valley Cellars wins with a BIG Cab,BIG and not to oakey.Harmony Wynelands poured a few very nice reds as did Talus Collection. We had a great time talking to a couple we met at the most lovely Berghold Winery. They have some very good grapes there.
and well the chocolate, I'm not much of a fan of that, rather have a beer.
Anyway it was nice to meet more of my neighbors.
And looking forward to meeting everyone at the river in due time.
this looks like a BYOB affair this time, sorry fans
fixed income and WPP have been doin me in lately.
is anyone going to be "signing" during the movie? just wondering as no one has been posting much here lately,
